Research On The Image And Subject Of The Rose In Ancient Chinese Literature

Flower is a very important kind of image type in ancient Chinese literature.Rose,however,is an important image in this image type.This paper starts with the literary works of rose theme in ancient Chinese literature,discusses the writing of rose image in ancient Chinese literary works,and briefly discusses the phenomena of ancient Chinese culture related to roses.The paper is divided into six chapters.Among them,the first chapter discusses the botanical problems related to roses,the second chapter to the fifth chapter belongs to the study of rose literature and image works,and the sixth chapter belongs to the study of the relationship between roses and ancient Chinese cultural phenomena.The name of the rose should not appear earlier than the Eastern Jin(??)Dynasty,and the name"QiangMi"(??)was not the first to refer to the rose.In ancient China,there were obvious differences between"rosa multiflora"(??),"rosa rugosa"(??)and"Chinese rose"(??),which limited the scope of research in this paper,and the classification standards of ancient Chinese roses were color,shape and region.Ranging from south to Guangdong,Taiwan to Jiangsu and Zhejiang,Fujian to Sichuan and Shaanxi to the west,the north reaches Beijing,Shenyang,the distribution range is very wide.The cultivation history of rose can be traced back to the Qiliang period of the Southern Dynasties,and its practical value includes medicinal,edible,fragrant values and so on.From the point of view of quantity,quality,distribution of style and creation of famous writers,rose is an important image of flowers and plants in ancient Chinese literature.From the perspective of historical development,the Wei,Jin,Southern and Northern dynasties ware the germination and emergence of rose-themed literature,the Tang and Song dynasties were its development and prosperity period,and the Yuan,Ming and Qing dynasties were its inheritance and new changes period.In ancient China,the focus of attention to the image of rose experienced the development process from "branches and leaves" to "color" and then to "smell".In addition,the "beauty of habit" of the rose has always been concerned by writers,which mainly refers to its "easy to plant"," love of water","spring blooming",as an ornamental flower,its shape is often compared to beautiful girl.This is the embodiment of its charm beauty.And the sun,the moon,the wind,the rain also has the different influence to the rose aesthetic.The emotional implication of rose image is more complex.First of all,as an ornamental plant,the ancients would enjoy each other with joy or solitude alone.The fall of the rose often means the spring is gone,so the poet will have the feeling of sadness of spring-gone,and this feeling is also expressed as the feeling of the misogyny of the women.The fall of the rose also means the end of the flower life and the disappearance of the good,so the rose can also be used to express the feeling that something is wrong.Roses are not easy to be appreciated when they grow up in the wild,so roses can also be used to express complaints that have never been met with talent,and at the same time,they can also express their feelings of indifference and seclusion.Red,purple roses symbolize glory and wealth,yellow rose is a symbol of pure and noble personality.Roses have thorns,which can hook clothes,express estrangement;it can also refer to bad men who have good-looking and evil heart.Rose is often easy to withstand the baptism of wind and rain,the destruction of waves,poets often express the spirit of exaltation.In a word,theemotional implication of the rose image has the characteristics of two sides and complexity.The fifth chapter selects four special topics to analyze the literary works or images of rose theme and image.Bai Juyi's poems on roses pay more attention to the sense of color,he liked describing it as a person and he loved using contrast.The most important value of his poems lie in bringing the rose,the flower plant,once again into the of view of the writers.It has opened up a new development of rose poems.Rose-subject Fu(?)literature may not stand out in the whole literary history,but it also has its literary value.It fills in the blank of the theme of"praising rose",and from the aspect of expression and description content,there has been a new change compared with the poem of praising the rose,which reflects the author's view of the rose,stressed on the pursuit of a good personality."Rose Cave"and"Rose Shelf"are two special images.There are four elements of the allusion of Rose Cave:Xie'an,Dongshan,carrying prostitutes,and banquets.Therefore,when using the allusions of"Rose Cave"in literary works,the message and thought expressed can also be divided into four aspects:the helplessness that can not realize political ambition,the admiration for Xie'an,and the desire to return to the world in the mountains and forests,the play of carrying a prostitute,the expression of the pleasure of a feast.In classical opera,"Rose Shelf"often has the functions of"hiding","peeking","private meeting"and so on,so as to promote the development of plot.In notes of Qing dynasty,the image of the rose mainly lies in three books,including Jest Books(??????),The Story of Chi Bei(??????),and YongAn Notes(??????),which is vivid and interesting,or rich in cultural value.The relationship between rose and ancient Chinese cultural life can be summarized into three aspects.First of all,the rose landscape in ancient Chinese horticulture mainly has the form of rose stand,rose screen and so on.Secondly,in ancient material and cultural life,rose has great value in food and medicine,its unique phenological significance plays a guiding role in agricultural production,and rose leaves still play a role in silkworm rearing activities.And rose in the flower market is also an important flower product,the price is not cheap.Finally,rose water is related to ancient Chinese fragrance culture.The range of rose water(???)is smaller than that of rose dew(???).The main methods of making rose water are"picking dew method"and"distillation method",which is related to people's daily lavatory activities.It is inextricably linked.
