| Henry Purcell is a great composer with an outstanding contribution to the history of British music.Under the influence of the splendid Italian opera and French music,his creations inherited Baroque’s traditional creative techniques and ingeniously captured the British national elements,and finally won a place for British music in this Baroque period.Contributed to the development of music art in the UK.This paper chooses to study a masterpiece,which is from Henry Purcell’s representative semi-opera "The fairy Queen",called " Hark!The Ech’ing Air".By digging out the composer’s creative background in the era and society,and also analyses the factors that may influence the singing,such as music creation techniques,the character characterization in the play and the pronunciation characteristics of English language,this paper makes an analysis from four aspects:the pitch,breath,tone and biting of vocal singing.To achieve more vocal enthusiast to feel the musical beauty of the song and to widely sung the outstanding works of Purcell. |
