| This paper studies Korean students’ anxiety about spoken Chinese in class when they are learning Chinese. Its purpose is to objectify the degree of "Chinese Speaking Anxiety" experienced by Korean students,so that teachers can understand the particularity of Korean students’ Chinese speaking anxiety, and apply it to teachers’ teaching,so as to improve the efficiency of learning."Language Anxiety" has a negative impact on foreign language learning and is sometimes an important factor with a positive impact, but it is difficult to objectify the degree of anxiety,so it is difficult to conduct research. However, after the development of "FLCAS" by Horwitz et al.(1986),language anxiety can be objectively measured and studied. On the basis of the above criteria and Young’s(1990)criteria,which focus on foreign language speaking anxiety, this study takes Korean students from Q university of China and Chinese majors from K university of South Korea as the survey objects to conduct a questionnaire survey. The survey results are as follows:Firstly, the level of Chinese language has been improved from primary level to intermediate level and advanced level, and the sense of anxiety in spoken Chinese has been declining. In addition, from HSK3 to 6,the higher the grade, the lower the sense of speaking anxiety.Secondly, there is a difference in anxiety about spoken Chinese between students who study Chinese in China and those who study Chinese in South Korea.Korean university students are more anxious about spoken Chinese than Korean students at Chinese universities.Thirdly, their anxiety of spoken Chinese varies according to their study abroad. The longer the period of study abroad, the less anxiety in spoken Chinese.Fourthly, according to the difference between the university and the period of studying in China, the factors affecting the anxiety of spoken Chinese are also different.Korean students in Chinese universities have higher anxiety about classroom topics, while Korean students have higher anxiety about speaking due to mistakes. Moreover, compared with the students who studied abroad for less than 5 years, the learners who studied for more than 5 years showed a unique tendency of oral anxiety. This study analyzes the degree of anxiety of Korean students about spoken Chinese with multiple factors and objective data, and focuses on the differences in teaching environment between China and South Korea and the period of study in China, which is of great significance. |
