Debussy was a great composer in impressionism period.His understanding of music and creation of works were beyond tradition and full of new ideas.Influenced by painting,literature and other artistic elements at that time,he formed music style with mysterious and hazy images.The piano suite "children's paradise" is one of the representative works of Debussy."Children's paradise" consists of 6 songs,each of which has its own theme and is connected with each other,and has strong aesthetic interest.Through the grasp of the musical structure and harmonic texture of each piece of music,this paper understands the music style and music image of the work,and divides the paper into three chapters for analysis and discussion from the aspects of the melody level,the strength and color of performance,the use of pedals and the expression of music emotions.The first chapter focuses on Debussy,the author of "children's paradise",and gives a brief introduction of his life and music creation.The second chapter mainly discusses the image of music and performance analysis of each piece of piano suite.The third chapter analyzes the use of several typical pedals in the performance of the piano suite "children's paradise".
