Painting Made On The Edge

This paper tries to analyze the edge lines of color blocks in roscoe's "typical form" stage from two aspects.First of all,the author starts with the transformation of rothko's painting style and analyzes the transformation of his artistic thought by combining the artists who had influenced him in the early stage of his art career,so as to explore how the idea of using edge fabric in his "typical form" stage came into being.This part is divided into three sections with time as the clue.The first section tells about the influences of different artists on roscoe who is a beginner of painting,because his understanding and judgment of painting are not mature yet.And in the second section,enter "surrealism" phase of the roscoe in painting has been the basic attitude and understanding,this period of roscoe influenced by primitive symbol in ancient mythology,begin to use personal symbolism express ideas in the heart in the picture,and on the form and material,"complex form" phase of the work also revealed to the prototype of the later work;The last section focuses on the analysis of Matisse's influence on roscoe,which is reflected in his understanding of the color atmosphere,enabling roscoe to transform the "color dots" in the "compound form" stage into "color blocks".In the next chapter,the author focuses on the edge line of the "typical form" stage.The first section describes the effects of this stage and the changes of roscoe's treatment of the edge line of the color block.The second section describes roscoe's transformation of oil paints and his requirements for exhibition methods and lighting on the material and technical level,and analyzes the different influences of these factors on the edge lines of color blocks.After the third quarter,the author in the form of "typical" phase picture color piece analyzes the characteristics of the edge line,is one of the features with the edge of fabric images,this section consists of the definition of line edge,edge line,space depth on fabric images are analyzed,the influence of by the old master and roscoe image contrast,found roscoe edge line from attachment to the real object liberated,in the edge of the image line is just a pure sense of color edge,this time with edge fabric images is its characteristic;Secondly,at this stage the edge of the line has a classical flavor,the classical old masters treatment edge line method and roscoe edge line method,and then put forward by Mr Greenberg's equivalent of "painting things" concept for the entrance,demonstrates the roscoe found a "counterpart" while not completely give up drawing,so the color piece look so classical edge.
