On The Marginal Line In The Development Of Western Figurative Painting

In this paper,under the framework of "drawing" and "line drawing" proposed by Wolflin,the most representative painters and works of each period are extracted respectively,and the development process of the line processing of realistic oil painting under these two styles is expounded.At the same time,combining the spirit of the times,the painter's character,science and technology,religion and so on,this paper makes a further explanation on the treatment of the edge line in the painting.Finally,on the basis of his own artistic practice,I will talk about the inspiration of art.
