An Analysis Of The Decorative Nature Of Chen Hongshou's Flower And Bird Paintings And Its Enlightenment To My Creation

This paper discusses the decorative nature of Chen Hongshou's flower and bird paintings.To explore the decorative,is to explore the Chinese painting this particular form of expression,its main core is the concept of image expression and its formal beauty performance characteristics.This paper holds that the decorative nature is caused by the aesthetic appreciation of the images in Chinese paintings,and it will inevitably appear in the picture.In the mind of traditional Chinese painters,decoration is not the application method of painters or the formal effect created by carving,but is formed through rational thinking.When rational thinking reaches the extreme,strong decoration will appear,which is formed unconsciously.From the perspective of the whole history of painting,decorative art is like a hidden vein of Chinese painting.The decorative nature of Chinese painting is reflected in two aspects.One is the norms that have been deposited by time in Chinese painting,such as rules of brush and ink and patterns of colors.The second is the decorative nature of the personal style language created by the painter.This decorative nature is to distinguish the decorative patterns in the arts and crafts,which is also the focus of this paper.Chen Hongshou's flower-and-bird painting inherits the traditional meticulous flower-and-bird painting's aesthetic spirit and brush and ink language,and endow the picture with more decorative features.Therefore,this paper takes Chen Hongshou's flower-and-bird painting as an example.Starting from the picture itself,the paper takes order,simplicity and plane as three main arguments to prove that the form of the flower-and-bird paintingreaches the extreme.At the same time,compared with other painters of the same time,it is proved that there is no good or bad decorative art.Finally,the paper comes to the thinking and experience of my own creation.Chen Hongshou studied the ancients,wrote heart expression,expressed himself,and affirmed the beauty of decoration with his rational consciousness.We should use for reference and study,with the existing modeling ability,into decorative knowledge,with the rational balance of the beam,so as to achieve a perfect picture.
