Research On Sheepskin Drum Dance Of Qiang People In Wenchuan County

The Qiang people is a long-standing and mysterious nation with independent language and religious worship.Sheepskin-drum dance as the main form of ritual dance of Qiang people,has great influence on the nation both in practicability and in historic significance.The dance performed by the Qiang people in the rituals with the tapping of goat skin drums and the sounds of chanting combined together is the very sheepskin-drum dance that we are familiar with.They prefer to call them "hopping the scriptures ".The performer is a male and is called "Shi Bi".With the passage of time,the progress of society and the development of culture,the current sheepskin-drum dance is not only limited to be performed in rituals.It is a form of folk dance that combines religious fete and festival entertainments together.This paper mainly uses literature research and field observation research methods to explain and study the Qiang people's sheepskin-drum dance from six aspects.The first chapter traces the origin of the sheepskin-drum dance of the Qiang people,explains in detail the origin of it,and combines it with the Qiang culture to explain the importance of sheepskin-drum dance in the nationality.The second chapter digs into the clothing,props,soundtrack and the dance form and style characteristics of sheepskin-drum dance in Wenchuan County.The third chapter studies the ethnic culture of the Qiang people,details the worship of the Gods and the patriarchal culture expressed in sheepskin-drum dance of the Qiang people in Wenchuan County.And studies the ceremonial procedure of the sheepskin-drum dance and the symbolic meaning of the sheepskin-drum in the Qiang culture.The fourth chapter takes the educational influence,aesthetic influence and entertainment effect of the sheepskin-drum dance of the Qiang people in Wenchuan County under current social conditions.The fifth chapter introduces the“5.12 earthquake” in Wenchuan County of Sichuan Province as the research background,makes a comparative study on the impact of environmental changes before and after the earthquake on the sheepskin-drum dance of the Qiang people to point out the inheritance and development situation of sheepskin-drum dance in Wenchuan County.This shows that Wenchuan County sheepskin-drum dance has the leading position in the Qiangculture.The sixth chapter concludes with the development of the sheepskin-drum dance in Wenchuan County as an example,and considers the problems arising from the development of sheepskin-drum dance.And finally,summarizes these and puts forward some personal advices.
