Machine Awakening-A Study On The Image And Subjectivity Construction Of Robots In American Science Fiction Movies

Artificial intelligence in science fiction movies is not a single existence,but a tangible and intangible robot image.On a certain level,artificial intelligence is like a human brain,and a robot is like a human body.The relationship between artificial intelligence and human beings is both an imitation relationship and a transcendental relationship.When the robot has wisdom,it will form the subjective consciousness of the robot,thus generating the robot's subjectivity.Has the machine been awake? This is a doubt that scientists have had since the birth of artificial intelligence technology.The more intelligent the robot is,the more complicated the relationship with people.This article will study the image of robots and the construction of their subjectivity from the American science fiction film.American sci-fi movies have been in existence for nearly a hundred years,and as early as 1923,robot images appeared,far before the invention of computers and artificial intelligence.The image of the robot has also undergone changes from no intelligence to intelligence and awakening.This research will rely on the development of American science fiction movies,from the image of robots,analyze the robot image and the construction of subjectivity to explore its technical value,ethical value and artistic value.The first chapter of the paper will sort out the image type of the robot based on the development of Hollywood science fiction movies.Such as the germination period,pure mechanical image;development period,diversified humanoid image;boom period,superhuman image.Classify it as humanoid and superpower.The second chapter will study the image of robots from the technical dimension of soft,hard and wet wares;the social dimension of society,ethnic group and human-machine;the self-dimensional of logic,learning and goal;the alienation dimension of the body,thinking,and ability.The third chapter will expound the subjectivity of human beings and analyze the relationship between human and machine-human subjectivity.The subjective construction of robots is studied in three aspects: personality subject,cognitive subject,and practical subject.The fourth chapter will study the technical value,ethical value and artistic value brought by the robot image.
