Honneth Admits The Theoretical Analysis

Honneth's recognition theory is based on the thought of recognition proposed by the young Hegel,and with the help of the achievements of Habermas's social communication theory and Marx's struggle theory,and then cleverly uses Mead's social psychology to carry on the creative transformation.In this series of process,Honneth further clarifies the three forms of recognition,and expounds the relationship between recognition and contempt,and between contempt and resistance,so as to show the fundamental purpose of Honneth's construction of recognition theory,that is,to regard the normative premise of the relationship of recognition as a reference point,which illustrates the historical process experienced by social change,and realizes the "theoretical shifts of recognition" of the Frankfurt School's critical theory,which has greatly promoted the development of contemporary social philosophy and political philosophy.This paper closely around the center of Honneth's recognition theory,combs and analyzes the formation process of Honneth's recognition theory from the historical context,takes the ideological origin of Honneth's recognition theory as the starting point,advances backward layer by layer,and then explains the main content of Honneth's recognition theory.Honneth's recognition theory mainly includes:Based on the reflection of the early critical theory,Honneth points out that the critical theory lacks its theoretical basis,emphasizes the elaboration of social problems;Based on the existing ideological theory,he uses Hegel's mode of struggle for recognition,analyzes that struggle is the intrinsic motivation of social moral conflict;Combined with Mead's research results of social psychology,he constructs three forms of mutual recognition,such as love,law and solidarity;Corresponding to the three forms of recognition,he also proposes three forms of contempt,revealing that contempt experience is the emotional motivation basis for social conflicts,and finally shows his yearning for ethical life.On the whole,Honneth's recognition theory has not only the value of theoretical research,but also the value of political practice.It is undeniable that this theory also has certain deficiencies and one-sidedness.Therefore,when studying this recognition theory,we should reasonably analyze and evaluate it from a Marxist perspective,so that we can learn the essence of its theory and transfer it to the discussion of social reality.At the end of this paper,I did some reflections on Honneth's recognition theory:the understanding of the concept of recognition of Honneth's recognition theory;the elaboration of the process of recognition;the supplement of the basic point of Honneth's recognition theory and the use of Honneth's recognition theory to enrich Marxist theory of all-round development of individuals.We start from Honneth's recognition theory,but do not stop at Honneth's recognition theory.Based on the current analysis and research,we can critically understand and interpret Honneth's recognition theory.
