A Study On The Translation And Interpretation Of Volume 18 Of "Bu Kong Qiang Suo Shen Bian Zhen Yan Jing" In Xixia

In 1917,the 18th volume of the Tangut Bukongjuansuoshenbianzhenyanjing was unearthed in Lingwu,Ningxia.This volume of Buddhist scriptures is a block-printed edition in Yuan Dynasty,folded,and the writing is neat and clear,and the Buddhist scriptures are relatively complete.This volume of Tangut Buddhist Sutra is selected as the research object,it is not only well preserved,but also belongs to the esoteric classics,which was seldom studied by predecessors.The study of the interpretation of the Buddhist Sutra will help us to understand the spread and development of the Esoteric Buddhism in the Tangut.This volume of Buddhist scriptures is translated from Chinese Buddhist Classics of Esoteric Buddhism.By comparing the Buddhist scriptures in Tangut and Chinese Buddhist Classics,it is of great significance to the translation characteristics of the Buddhist scriptures in Tangut,the use of the language and characters in Tangut,and the literature collation.This article is divided into three chapters:First of all,this paper briefly introduces the translators,the main contents and other relevant translation versions of the Bukongjuansuoshenbianzhenyanjing.Then it introduces the unearthed and spread situation of the 18th volume of the Tangut version.Using the method of historical materials to study and verify that the revision time of the Buddhist Sutra,which is roughly the first year of Huangqing(1312).Finally,its version features are introduced.Secondly,it is the main part of this paper.The interpretation part includes the input of the Tangut Buddhist scriptures,the translation of Buddhist Sutras in Chinese,and the explanations of Buddhist Sutras in Chinese.Neither original text nor Chinese translation contain punctuation marks.The Chinese version of the Buddhist Sutra is based on the 18th volume of the Book of Dazhengzang of China(Volume 19).The annotations mainly include the explanation of the special grammar of Tangut,the correction of the wrong words and the explanation of Buddhist terminology.The relevant Buddhist terms in the annotations mainly use Buddhist dictionaries.Because Tangut and Chinese have different language habits.In the process of translating the Buddhist Sutras of the Tangut line by line,we should try to be as close as possible to the semantics of the Chinese Buddhist Classics.Finally,from the linguistic point of view,the linguistic style conclusion of the 18th volume of the Tangut Bukongjuansuoshenbianzhenyanjing is an incomprehensible esoteric classic.Through the study of the previous chapter,it is concluded that the translation style of this volume of Buddhist scriptures is mainly directly translation.The first section looks at the language style of the 18th volume of the Tangut Bukongjuansuoshenbianzhenyanjing from the perspective of translatology.By summarizing the coordinate compound words,synonyms and Buddhist terminology in Tangut scriptures in this volume,the translation style and characteristics of Tangut scriptures are summarized.The second section looks at the language style of the 18th volume of the Tangut Bukongjuansuoshenbianzhenyanjing from the perspective of linguistics such as the formation and use of Tangut words.The second section looks at the language style of this Buddhist Scripture from the perspective of linguistics such as the formation and use of the Tangut words.
