Interpretation And Research On Tangut Script "Hai Nian Xin Fa" Volume ⅩⅤ For "ZuDiFuYi"

The "Hai Nian Xin Fa", unearthed in Khara-Khoto, is a statute in the later period of Tangut, which was accomplished before the forth year of GuanDing (1214). The statute consists of seventeen volumes, chronicling various aspects of the social life in the later period of Tangut, which provides the most significant historical data for studies on related issues of Tangut.The thesis selects the Volume Fifteenth-" ZuDiFuYi" as the object of the study, which is specifically divided into three steps. Firstly, the recording of Tangut script is completed, providing the academic field with a more accurate Tangut version. Secondly, a preliminary interpretation of the Tangut version is carried out, whose main contents include the detailed collation of the two visions, the translation from Chinese into Tangut, the initial construction of the Chinese version and necessary annotations. Thirdly, based on the preliminary interpretation of the Tangut version, several issues related to legal provisions are discussed, which are mainly considered with the understanding of Tangut temple, activities of temple economy as well as the changes in "ZuDiFuYi"、"YiCao" etc. in the later period of Tangut.
