Research On The Characteristics Of Melody Creation In Wu Xiaoping's Vocal Music Works

As a well-known contemporary composer,Mr.Wu Xiaoping's vocal works not only reflect the characteristics of the times,but also strive to inherit the national charm.These works have profound emotions and rich connotations,often creating a unique ambiance.The thesis focuses on the �melody creation characteristics� in Wu Xiaoping's vocal works and selects representative ones such as Mei Lanfang,Hometown Water,Jiangnan.From the perspectives of �materials,pitch,tone,syntax,rhythm� of the melody,the thesis analyzes and summarizes Wu's works,trying to explore the �creation trajectory� of Wu's vocal works and concluding the individual characteristics of his nationalized music language.This thesis is divided into five chapters: the first chapter introduces the composer's life and lists some of the works to be studied in this paper.The second chapter sorts out and summarizes the source of the �material� of Wu Xiaoping's five vocal works.The third chapter takes �melodic progressing methods� as the core,analyzing and summarizing some of the works;Chapter four mainly focuses on the application of �five tone expansion�;Chapter five focuses on the �syntactic structure and rhythm� of the melody.
