Research On The Image Writing Of Chinese Independent Documentaries From The Perspective Of Cultural Anthropology

Chinese independent documentary have gradually developed since 1990 s.The producers take the Chinese disadvantaged and marginalized people at the bottom of Chinese society as their main subjects,recording and interpreting a variety of Chinese culture with images.Compared with the traditional and official documentaries,Chinese independent documentaries have a strong spirit of independence,which is benefited by the producers are not subject to the status in system,not sticked by commercial capital and they don't have to cater to the public's taste.They have a free,independent and personalized way of image writing.In the introduction of this paper,the background,significance,research status,main research contents and methods of this topic are explained in detail.The main part consists of six chapters.The first chapter defines and states the development of Chinese independent documentaries.The second chapter starts from the relationship between Cultural Anthropology and the image writing of independent documentaries,analyzes the core issue of Cultural Anthropology--culture,and discusses the similarities between the research fields of Chinese independent documentaries and cultural anthropology,and the working methods of Chinese independent documentary producers and cultural anthropology scholars.The third chapter states the cultural types that Chinese independent documentaries focus on.From the perspective of Chinese independent documentaries' function of recording culture,the fourth chapter analyzes three ways of producers' shooting,including participant observation,the recording point of single-point intervention,and the "in-camera editing" of the author.From the perspective of the image interpretation of Chinese independent documentaries on culture,the fifth chapter analyzes two unique image interpretation methods of producers,including audio-visual language and personalized writing.According to the study and analysis of every aspect of Chinese independent documentary images writing,the sixth chapter sum up out the existing problems of Chinese independent documentary's image writing,and it also propose improvement plan and point out future innovation development direction in Cultural Anthropology.
