Chen Hongshou was one of the eccentric,outstanding and famous persons in the late Ming Dynasty,and his paintings,with their unique features,have been of pioneering value until today.Chen Hongshou's figure paintings are famous all over the world,but the subtlety of his landscape paintings cannot be ignored.This article takes Chen Hongshou's landscape paintings as research objects,discussing Chen Hongshou's artistic life and the artistic characteristics of his landscape paintings,and systematically analyzing the "GAOGU" painting environment and "QIHAI" images in Chen Hongshou's landscape paintings.This article studies the "GAOGU " painting environment and " QIHAI " images in Chen Hongshou's landscape paintings from four aspects.First of all,based on Chen Hongshou's works and literature,the article explores landscape selection and style in Chen Hongshou's landscape paintings.By systematically researching his landscape works and related materials,the article explores where and how he obtained them.Secondly,the article analyzes the artistic characteristics of Chen Hongshou's landscape paintings,and the artistic qualities of simplicity,antiquity,and horror in his landscape paintings from the aspects of composition,modeling,brushwork,and coloring.In addition,the artistic analyzes the background,artistic life,and other landscape paintings of Chen Hongshou,and studies the inherent spiritual expression in his landscape paintings.Finally,the article discusses the influence of Chen Hongshou's painting thoughts and techniques on landscape paintings in modern times,and the active role of his artistic achievements in innovations of creation methods in landscape painting.
