Some people say that calligraphy is solid dance, and dance is flowing calligraphy.Pen and ink dance, through chanting.Dance and calligraphy have inherent commonality in the internal relations such as the background of origin, the nature of the art,the creative process, and the laws of expression. In my opinion, dancers can use the theory of calligraphy to interpret, interpret and enrich the connotation of dance art,so that dance can progress and mature in reform and development. The study of the two arts not only contributes to the mutual absorption and promotion of dance and calligraphy, but also provides a new way of thinking for the study of dance art in China, and promotes the prosperity and development of Chinese dance art.The refining and application of calligraphy elements played a pivotal role in the creation of the dance work "Mo" Ran Looking Back.It is not only a stylized embodiment throughout the play, but also a preliminary exploration of the combination of dance creation and calligraphy elements by the director. The director wanted to take advantage of the creative practice of his work "Mo" Ran Looking Back to try to find the commonality between the two traditional art forms of Chinese calligraphy and dance, from dance vocabulary, dance creation, stage installation, costume props, music, etc. The aspect reflects the harmonious and inclusive relationship between the two.Dance and calligraphy are important components of traditional Chinese culture. The two arts are fused together to create a new spark, using the body and pen and ink to trace the significance and value of traditional culture for dance as an important means.
