Research On Wei Qihou’s Calligraphy Thoughts And Calligraphy Creation

From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the beginning of the Republic of China,the Chinese calligraphy world under the shroud of epigraphy ushered in the reflection and reconstruction of the thesis scholars represented by Shen Yinmo,Bai Jiao,Pan Boying,etc.,who vigorously advocated the revival of the thesis,inherited the Erwang calligraphy,and realized the legacy of the Wei and Jin dynasties,laying the foundation for the vigorous development of modern calligraphy art.Born in 1920,the Calligrapher of Shandong Province,Wei Qihou,was formed in such an environment,and he was deeply influenced by the revival of Thessian calligraphy since the early republic of China,and dialectically looked at the relationship between stele and thesis,and his calligraphy was rich in meaning,distinctive,self-contained,and had a unique place in the modern book world.As a famous calligrapher in modern China,Wei Qihou’s life spanned nearly a hundred years of history from the Republic of China to new China,and he traveled extensively throughout his life,creating his rich life experience.Wei Qihou has a forward-looking academic vision and a high degree of cultural consciousness,in the process of learning and practice,he can integrate the subtleties of calligraphy art of various eras and schools,and gradually form his own calligraphy thinking of "embracing ancient and modern" and the calligraphy creation of "Integration of Han bamboo slips and Calligraphy".This paper analyzes Wei Qihou’s calligraphy art as the center,focusing on his calligraphy ideas and calligraphy creation.The first part analyzes the reasons for the formation of Wei Qihou’s calligraphy art style from different angles such as family life and social characters;the second part sorts out the study of Wei Qihou’s calligraphy thought of"embracing the ancient and modern" from the "view of calligraphy","the view of stele" and"the concept of creative practice",and analyzes the theoretical significance of his concept of learning books;the third part focuses on wei Qihou’s calligraphy creation of "integration of Han bamboo slips and Posts",and conducts in-depth analysis from three aspects:"study on the formation of calligraphy style","exploration of calligraphy origins" and "analysis of the characteristics of calligraphy".The fourth part analyzes the value of Wei Qihou’s calligraphy from the perspective of contemporary calligraphy history,and obtains the enlightening effect on the current calligraphy creators and authors in the process and achievements of calligraphy exploration.At the end of the article also discusses the limitations and shortcomings of Wei Qihou’s calligraphy,to show that the students have to reflect on and correct its shortcomings,so as to avoid the recurrence of the problem.Wei Qihou has a keen sense of the times,and with his academic attitude of daring to reflect and being good at innovation,he has promoted the emergence of new ideas in his calligraphy and accompanied the times.His calligraphy concepts,calligraphic ideas and creative styles have an influential and enlightening effect on the development of current calligraphy creation.
