An Analysis Of The Cultural Elements In China's Home Diplomacy

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China has gradually adjusted its diplomatic strategy and layout,and China's diplomacy is increasingly showing a positive attitude.At the China foreign affairs conference held in 2014,China's president Xi Jinping said in his speech: "China must have its own great power diplomacy.China's foreign work has distinct Chinese characteristics,Chinese style and Chinese style." Under the guidance of this concept,the development of home diplomacy in China has attracted much attention,which has attracted extensive attention of domestic and foreign media.Home diplomacy has become a platform for China to interpret its diplomatic concept to the world and display its soft power resources.At present,in the study of China's home diplomacy,domestic scholars mostly analyze and discuss the advantages of hosting home diplomacy from the national strategic level,some domestic scholars analyze the connotation of China's diplomatic thoughts from the perspective of traditional culture,while foreign scholars interpret more Chinese foreign policy words.At present,no scholars have systematically observed and interpreted the cultural value orientation of home diplomacy from the perspective of cultural symbols.From the perspective of cultural symbols,this paper attempts to summarize three home diplomacy events since the 18 th National Congress,including the 2014 APEC Beijing Summit,2016 Hangzhou G20 summit and 2017 Xiamen BRICs summit.Many costumes,tableware and works of art with distinctive Chinese cultural symbols are used inside and outside the venue.The architectural design of the venue is integrated into the ancient Chinese architectural design and decoration style.The gala carefully prepared for foreign leaders also integrates rich Chinese and foreign art forms.This paper focuses on the cultural values reflected behind the selected Chinese cultural symbols.Chinese culture is broad and profound,which is rich in culture and art.But the selection of culture and art to show to the world has been carefully considered by leaders.This paper believes that the selection and design concept of Chinese elements in the main diplomatic activities can reflect the cultural values of contemporary Chinese leaders.The conclusion of this paper is that the main diplomacy reflects four aspects of cultural values: first,the display of Han and Tang culture and art reflects the historical and political identity of contemporary Chinese leaders to the development of Chinese civilization;second,the bold use of Chinese traditional cultural elements is the affirmation of the view of "Chinese style and Western style" in the "competition of style and use" in China's internal competition of modern times;third,tradition and The combination of modern art and design ideas reflects the spirit of contemporary China advancing with the times;fourthly,it advocates the coexistence,exchange and mutual learning of multi civilizations in the world.
