The theory of multiple intelligences was put forward by Howard Gardner of Harvard University in 1983.Based on the “spatial intelligence theory”,this study divides children's spatial intelligence into five core sub-intelligences: graphic recognition ability,background recognition ability,spatial positioning ability,mental rotation ability and imaginative reasoning ability.“The Spatial Intelligent Situational Assessment System for Children Aged 4-7” was compiled referring to the way of situational assessment in Gardner's colorful spectrum.The system was popular among the children by being vivid and attracting,which can evaluate the development of children's spatial intelligence more comprehensively.The homogeneity reliability of the system is 0.732,and the grader's reliability is 0.781.The correlation between the five core sub-intelligences is lower than that between each core sub-intelligence and the total score.Confirmatory factor analysis shows that the fitting degree of the system is good and all the index values are higher than 0.9.It shows a significant correlation between the system and “questionnaire for assessment of children's multiple intelligence” compiled by Xing Shaoying and Yang Huming,with the value of 0.808.It also shows that the reliability and validity of the system is good.Using this system to evaluate children aged 4-7,the characteristics of children's spatial intelligence revealed by the evaluation results are consistent with the existing research results.It shows that the system can effectively evaluate children's spatial intelligence.Secondly,the spatial intelligent situational promotion system for children aged 4-5 was developed.The natural experiment method was adopted,and the experiment design was the control group's nontreatment pre-test and post-test design.Due to the limitation of objective conditions,the promotion activity was carried out for only one month,5 class hours,each class hour was 30 minutes.The parallel class carried out normal teaching activities at the same time.It is not effective to promote children's spatial intelligence.
