Surrealist Techniques And Contemporary Figure Painting Creation

With the penetration and sweeping of globalization in various fields,the collision and integration of China and the west has become an inevitable cultural phenomenon,which is clearly reflected in the art field.Throughout the author is engaged in the field of contemporary figure painting,whether from formal language to the content,or thoughts,there are a lot of broke the traditional natural reproduction pattern of figure painting,showing a lot of western art ideas and methods to present a kind of psychedelic,and slightly deviate from the reality situation of the work,the expression of this kind of work often strange innovation,reserved,subtle and intriguing,we call them surreal expression.The research of this subject focuses on the use and practice of surrealist artistic spirit and expression techniques in contemporary figure painting,and hopes to expand the language technique and aesthetic conception of traditional Chinese figure painting through in-depth analysis and exploration of theory and practice.The paper is divided into three parts: The first two chapters aim to explore the features of the formal language of surrealism in the west and determine the feasibility and practical effects of surrealism in the creation of contemporary Chinese painting characters;The third chapter presents my experience in the process of research and my creative inspiration in the form of paintings.The work mainly places the characters in a contradictory space,creating a kind of "reality" and "dream" interlaced,surreal atmosphere.The author hopes to induce the viewer to jump out from the logic and reason to understand and comprehend the work.The fourth chapter is the creation experience and reflection as well as the development direction of the contemporary Chinese painting figures.The author emphasizes that the connotation of traditional painting should not be abandoned because of the western modern route,and the expansion and innovation of Chinese painting should not be separated from the Chinese aesthetic system.
