" Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " referred to as "Liao Zhai",commonly known as "Ghost Fox Biography",is a collection of classical Chinese short stories created by Pu Songling,a famous novelist in the Qing Dynasty in China.The book has a total of 491 short stories,with a wide range of themes,rich content,vivid and vivid characters,bizarre twists and turns,rigorous and clever structure,concise writing,delicate descriptions,and high artistic achievements.It is the pinnacle of classic short stories.It is one of the earliest Chinese classic novels translated into the West,and one of the earliest Chinese classic short stories written in the history of English Chinese literature.This article is based on Herbert Allen Giles' s A History of Chinese Literature(1901)and Ch'en Shou-yi 's Chinese Literature: a historical introduction(1961),The Columbia History of Chinese Literature(2001)edited by Victor H.Mair,The Cambridge of Chinese Literature(2010)edited by Kang-I Sun Chang and Stephen Owen is the study object of " Kang-I Sun Chang and Stephen Owen " in four English Chinese literature history.Text reading and text analysis methods were used in Herbert Allen Giles' s "History of Chinese Literature",Ch'en Shou-yi 's "History of Chinese Literature",Victor H.Mair " The Columbia History of Chinese Literature ",Kang-I Sun Chang and Stephen Owen " Kang-I Sun Chang and Stephen Owen " It analyzes and introduces the positioning,selection,review,description,and characteristics of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in Chinese.It further studies the writing of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in the history of English and Chinese literature,and further elaborates the different periods of Westerners.Comment on Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio ",the spread and acceptance of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in different stages of the English-speaking world.There are six parts in this article,the introduction,the conclusion and the four parts of the text,as follows:The introduction mainly introduces the significance of this topic,the current status of research at home and abroad,the research methods and the basic framework,outlines the writing of English Chinese literary history,and the writing of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in Chinese literary history;The first chapter takes " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in Giles' s History of Chinese Literature" as the research object,expounds the characteristics of the translation and introduction of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in the history of early English Chinese literature,and analyzes it and Giles' s " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " The origin of the English translation,to explore its significance for the clear positioning of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " and its influence on the writing of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in the history of English literature in later generations;The second chapter takes Chen Shou-yi's " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in " Chinese Literature: a historical introduction " as the research object,pays attention to the characteristics of its selection and translation tendency of female subjects,and analyzes that it is related to the social movement at that time,and analyzes " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " Break through the three aspects of traditional creative methods,focusing on examining their social causes and significance;The third chapter takes " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in " The Columbia History of Chinese Literature " as the research object,emphasizes the influence of new theories such as narratology on its narrative style,and analyzes its narrative method and the traditional narrative mode of "Shi Ji" Correlation,to explore the impact of social aesthetic value on the subject matter of selected translations;The fourth chapter takes " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in " The Cambridge of Chinese Literature " as the research object,reviews and analyzes its narrative style of storytelling,rich selection of materials,and explores that the wide selection of materials is affected by the characteristics of multiple times The way is also influenced by the new stylistic view and the new historical view;The concluding part summarizes the writing of Four English Chinese Literature History on " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " and its important influence on its classicization in the English world,and compares the similarities and differences between " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in English Chinese literary history and Chinese literary history,and Summing up the writing of " Strange Tales from Make-Do Studio " in the history of Chinese and British Chinese literature,it has an important role in deepening and consolidating its world literary classics.
