Research On "Zhezhi" Of Music And Dance In Tang Dynasty

Zhezhi is a famous musical dance of the Western Regions in the Tang Dynasty.It is named Zhezhi because it originated in the Chaj area(also known as Zhezhi area)of “Zhaowu Nine Surnames”.The musical dance Zhezhi was introduced into the Central Plains from the Western Regions in the Southern and Northern Dynasties and gradually developed to its peak in the Tang Dynasty.Influenced by the traditional culture and aesthetic concept of the Central Plains,different forms of performance were produced,which developed from the solo Kin dance Zhezhi to the couple Soft dance Qu Zhezhi.According to the historical data,the performance content and dress of Zhezhi in the period of the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms had changed,and developed continuously until the Song Dynasty,which was active in court and folk in the form of "Zhezhi Team".After the Song Dynasty,although the musical dance Zhezhi declined,it was still common in the historical materials of poetry and prose and became a part of the traditional dance culture in the Central Plains,and some action elements were handed down to this day.It is not difficult to see from the transmutation track of musical dance Zhezhi that it has spread a wide region and numerous dynasties,which is one of the worthiest musical dances to study.The study of the action ontology of musical dance Zhezhi needs to be carried out in two aspects: text material and image material.Through the existing historical materials from the dance costumes,gestures,props accompaniment,and dance style and other aspects,sketch and speculate on the real performance of Zhezhi,make every effort to restore the original style,moving dance and emotional expression of Zhezhi.Combining with the previous research results,this paper makes a relatively comprehensive study on the dance ontology of Zhezhi.Based on the research of historical data,the author makes textual research on Chaj,the origin of Zhezhi,from three aspects: the origination,transmutation track,and musical dance appearance of Zhezhi in Tang Dynasty.This paper discusses three performance forms of Zhezhi: Kin Dance,Soft Dance,and Team Dance.From the perspective of the performance ontology of musical dance Zhezhi,it is expected that the research results of this special history of musical dance can reproduce the appearance of Zhezhi in the Tang Dynasty.
