The Self-strengthening movement and the legal reform of Qing Dynasty are both decaying and ruined by the late Qing government to save their own rule.These two movements,as the reform measures of the Qing government,are not only profoundly related to the fate of the Qing government,but also has an extremely important influence on the social development of modern China and the direction of the future political system.As the beginning of China's modernization,the Westernization Movement is an important exploration of China's transition from a traditional country to a modern country.As a large-scale legal reform,the Qing Dynasty's law-raising movement abolished the feudal legal system that followed thousands of years in China,and imitated the Western system of a series of legal systems with bourgeois nature and democratic and law-ruling thoughts.The legal system has had a profound impact.Regrettably,both sports ended in failure.However,the historical significance of these two revolutionary movements cannot be ignored.It still has profound and extraordinary reference significance in the governance construction and transformation of the country in the current era.Previous scholars have focused on the study of individual events,and have lacked research on the impact of the relationship between the Westernization Movement and the legal reform of Qing Dynasty.Therefore,this paper compares the Westernization Movement with the legal reform of Qing Dynasty and tries to find out the connection and influence of the two,and explores,reflects and learns lessons from it,and puts forward some rational suggestions for the modernization of the country's politics and legal system.The specific structure of this paper is as follows:...
