As the largest developing country in the Southeast, and the largest archipelagic country in the world,Indonesia is a comprehensive strategic partnership country.Since the end of World War II,Indonesia has also actively explored a path suitable for its own development.During this period,it has also experienced changes in many leaders, which has also profoundly affected the development of Indonesia.Through a comparative analysis of the changes of Indonesian leaders after World War II,this paper can more clearly understand the foundation and course of the construction of its political system. In addition,by summarizing the problems existing,we can understand Indonesia more deeply and also to China's globalization. It is of great practical significance to continue to promote socialist modernization under the background.According to the changes of Indonesian leaders, the construction of its political system mainly includes the following three periods: the Sukarno period, the Suharto period and the post-Suharto period.Indonesia began to seek a path of democratic development since the founding of the country.Sukarno established a "free democratic system" at the beginning of the founding of the country, but failed because of the immature domestic political conditions and was replaced by "democratic leadership.".After eight years of development, the economic form deteriorated, and the political conflict that followed the economic collapse eventually led to the end of Sukarno's resignation and his "led democracy." After Suharto came to power,he began to implement the "Pancha Sheila" system and said that his regime is a "new order" to distinguish the "old order" of the Sukarno government. On the surface, the "new order" is a democratic rule. The elections are held every five years, but in fact they are governed by authoritarianism.Suharto and his cronies control all aspects of society. Finally, the 1997 Asian financial crisis and The political turmoil brought over Suharto ' s rule, and Indonesia began to embark on a path of true democratization after the disintegration of the dictatorship. From President Habibie to President Wahid's period,it was Indonesia's democratic transition period.Although ethnic and religious conflicts erupted during this period, regional separatism in Aceh and Papua became more and more fierce, and democracy began to move toward health. The direction of development. In 2004,Indonesia held its first direct presidential election in history.President Susilo came to power and began the period of democratic consolidation in Indonesia. He has made some achievements and still faces many problems.
