Research On South Korea's Environmental Diplomacy After The Cold War

After the cold war,the international pattern has undergone tremendous changes,and the non-traditional security impact represented by environmental issues has been expanding.After the Human Environment Conference in Stockholm,Sweden,in 1972,environmental issues entered the international political arena.In 1992,the convening of the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development marked the birth of international environmental diplomacy,which was accepted and applied by all countries as a new way of diplomacy.After the cold war,South Korea realized the importance of environment,and environmental issues were closely linked with the national interests of South Korea,which promoted the development of South Korea's environmental diplomacy.The full text consists of three parts.The first part mainly analyzes the background and development process of environmental diplomacy in South Korea,elaborates the meaning of environmental diplomacy in South Korea,and the increasing globalization of environmental issues in South Korea,and elaborates the four periods of environmental diplomacy in South Korea(wait and see participation period,passive response period,active response period and active leadership period).The second part analyzes South Korea's environmental diplomacy after the cold war.Through the performance of South Korea's environmental diplomacy in the United Nations and international conventions after the cold war,and the research on regional environmental diplomacy,northeast Asia is taken as the research focus of South Korea's regional environmental diplomacy.The third part,combined with the full text of the cold war on the essence and role of South Korea's environmental diplomacy after the conclusion of the attitude and measures of South Korea's environmental diplomacy through the study of its essence and role,to better solve the international environmental problems and promote international environmental diplomacy made a contribution.
