A Study On The Diplomatic Practice Of Northeast Asia In South Korea During The Period Of Park Geun-hye

Although with many good ideas,the Northeast Asia diplomacy of South Korea in Park Geun-hye times did not achieve the desired effect in diplomatic practice.In the diplomatic Practice of Northeast Asia in South Korea during the period of Park Geun-hye,there were two main problems: North and South Korea's tensions and the imbalance in power relations.The impact of the fourth nuclear test in North Korea intensified these two issues.In the Diplomatic Practice of Northeast Asia in South Korea during the Period of Park Geun-hye,there is a sense of continuity that influenced a lot in the diplomatic concept of South Korea.The aim of reunification of the Korean Peninsula and being “ the Northeast Asia balancer ” didn't match the actual.What's more,South korea regarded national security so much that it had no chance to ease the relations between North Korea and South Korea.Also South Korea had to continue to strengthen the US-ROK alliance in order to face military challenge from North Korea.In result,the situation in Northeast Asia is getting worse.In the future,South Korea's first priority is to achieve the ease of North-South relations,especially by way of economy.Then South Korea have to get a balance between China and the U.S.China should actively learn from the experiences and lessons of Sino-Korean relations during the period of Park Geun-hye.At the same time,China had to take full account of the risks and instabilities in Sino-ROK relation.Also China should play a positive role in the Korean Peninsula issues in order to create a more conducive Northeast Asia geopolitical environment to China.So in this paper,firstly,I would like to introduce the history and reality to the diplomatic Practice of Northeast Asia in South Korea during the Period of Park Geun-hye.Then,I will focus on the discussion of the two main problems:North and South Korea' s tensions and the imbalance in power relations.Especially,I will say more about the reasons why there is a deviation between goals and effects.Finally,I would like to give my thinking of South Korea 's Diplomacy in Northeast Asia and Sino-Korea Relations in the Future...
