An Analysis Of The Class Consciousness In The Developed Capitalist Society

As one of the subjective conditions of historical progress,class consciousness plays an important role in human society.And we have to pay our special attention to the class consciousness in developed capitalist societies,since they are on history's cutting edge.Moreover,there are also many complicated changes have taken place in its theory and status quo.What this article hereby solves the problem is: How shall we understand the class consciousness in developed capitalist societies? And what are the concrete reasons or ultimate reasons behind it? The analysis of this issue will help us understand the essence of class consciousness in developed capitalist societies.In the other hand,we could also create a new research method to supplement or revise this issue.Today,one of the academic misunderstandings about this topic among us is either deviate from Marxist historical materialism,or turn to the critique of culture.Thus,this issue was caught in the labyrinth of history.In fact,the class consciousness in developed capitalist societies contains profound essence both in culture and history.Today,it will be biased to analyze this issue only in culture or history.In view of this,this thesis will analyze the class consciousness in developed societies through both culture and history.And through the critique of culture,there are three levels:(1)Social Dilemma;(2)Alienation of Science and Technology;(3)the Transmutation of Culture.And through the critique of history,there are also three levels:(1)the Analysis of Productivity;(2)the Exploration of the Economic Base;(3)the Research on the Political Superstructure.(It should be noted that the “critique” here means “analysis”.)What the culture dimension reveals is about the repression and paralysis that the developed capitalist societies have brought to people.It is the reason why one dimensional class consciousness happens.And in historical dimension(exactly in historical materialism),we got the answer that one dimensional class consciousness in developed societies is due to the developed productivity and the capital logic.So far,the fog of class consciousness in developed societies has vanished.All in all,this article starts from the historical formation and evolution about the class consciousness.And then analyzes the class consciousness in developed societies both inculture and history.In the end,we drew the conclusion about its' basic trend,historical labyrinth and future prospect.Hence,we could have a fuller interpretation and understanding of the class consciousness in developed capitalist societies based on Marxism.
