Research On The Main Social Contradictions And The Development Of The Chinese Communist Party's View Of The Essence Of Socialism

The essence of socialism is the inherent fundamental attribute of socialist society itself,a sign of fundamental difference from other social forms,and a fundamental answer to the question of "what is socialism and how to build socialism".The principal social contradiction is the dominant social contradiction in social development,which determines the tasks and objectives of a country in a certain period.The correct grasp of the principal social contradictions directly affects the formulation of national development strategy and the understanding of the essence of socialism.On the question of what is socialism,Marx and Engels predicted the future society based on the profound analysis of capitalist contradictions.Under the leadership of Lenin,the Soviet union started the practice of building socialism from the perspective of basic national conditions and social contradictions.Since the founding of the communist party of China,it has begun to explore the principal contradiction in society and gradually formed a preliminary understanding of the essential characteristics of socialism.In this process,there were both correct theories and wrong lessons.Practice has proved that when the party has the scientific understanding and effective treatment of the social principal contradiction,the experience it acquires would be positive,and the view of socialist essence formed in the process could guide the party through formulating reasonable governing strategy in every historical period of socialism,so as to promote the smooth development of the socialist cause.On the contrary,when the understanding of the principal contradiction of society is wrong,the judgment of the nature of socialism will be wrong,which will lead to the course,policy and policy being separated from the reality and affect the development of the socialist cause.At the same time,the party's correct understanding of the essence of socialism also guides the understanding and resolution of the principal contradiction in society.Since the reform and opening up,our party has for the first time answered the question "what is socialism and how to build socialism?" from the perspective of socialist essence,laid the foundation for the formation and development of the concept of socialist essence,and provided a basic methodology for the solution of the principal contradiction in society.The following generations of party leaders continuously pushed the concept of socialist essence from focusing on economic construction to the cultural,social and political fields,enriched and developed the connotation and extension of the concept of socialist essence,and provided theoretical guidance and direction for solving the major social contradictions in each period.In the development course of the view of the CPC's socialist essence,we could find that the view of the CPC's socialist essence revolves around two lines of logic : the first is from the perspective of the social principal contradiction and essential relation of socialism,the view of the CPC's socialist essence is based on the understanding of different historical periods,formed and developed in the process of the practice of solving the social principal contradiction;the second is from the intrinsic development logic of the view of the CPC's socialist essence,the inheritance of the concept are included in this process as well as the development and innovation of methodology and epistemology,which embodies the nature of the communist party of China in the exploring the major issues of socialist essence,and always adhere to the development law of historical materialism and the methodological principle of keeping pace with the times.There is no end to practical development and no end to theoretical innovation.We should,along with the development of practice and the progress of the times,deepen our understanding of the nature of socialism,and solve the major social contradictions through grasping the law of social development,so as to promote the development of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
