The report of the 19 th CPC National Congress stressed that it is necessary to“deepen education on ethnic development.” this shows tunity and progress,forge a strong sense of community of the Chinese nation,strengthen exchanges and exchanges among all ethnic groups,and promote all ethnic groups to hold together like pomegranate seeds,unite and struggle together,and achieve common prosperity and he importance of national unity education.Since 2016,the Ministry of Education has successively changed the names of primary school textbooks “moral character and Life” and "moral character and Society" to "morality and Rule of Law",and adjusted the contents of the textbooks accordingly.The importance of primary school morality and rule of law curriculum has become more prominent.Primary school students are the future of our country and the hope of the nation,the builders and successors of the socialist modernization cause,and the practitioners of Chinese Dream's great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.Education on national unity for primary school students is not only the implementation of the relevant requirements of the party and the state,but also the inevitable choice for Chinese Dream to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation in the new era.Textbooks play a vital role as a medium to communicate primary school students and learning content.therefore,the research on the content of national unity in primary school morality and rule of law textbooks is of great significance to improve teaching materials and teachers' teaching.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the introduction.This part mainly includes the reasons for choosing the topic,core concept definition,literature review,research significance,research objectives,research methods,research difficulties and innovation.The second part is based on 12 textbooks of morality and Rule of Law compiled by the Ministry of Primary School from Grade 1 to Grade 6.First of all,according to the frame structure of the textbook,the research is carried out from four parts: unit theme,teaching topic,teaching topic and illustration..Secondly,combined with the existing research and the suggestions of relevant experts,the two main categories of“national level(A)” and “national level(B)” are determined,as well as several subcategories under each main category.The third part makes an in-depth analysis of the content of national unity embodied in each part of the textbook by using the textbook analysis framework ofthis study.Based on the analysis of the third part of the textbook,the fourth part finds out the problems existing in the textbook compilation,including the uneven vertical and horizontal distribution of the content of national unity in the textbook and the lack of extensive content of national unity.Finally,in view of the problems found in the study,the author puts forward some suggestions for the compilation of textbooks.The fifth part is the investigation and analysis of the application of the content of national unity in the textbook “morality and Rule of Law” compiled by the Ministry of Primary School.On the basis of theoretical research and textbook analysis,a questionnaire and an outline of teacher interviews are designed for the application of the content of national unity in the textbook “morality and Rule of Law” in primary schools,and the problems found in the process of investigation are analyzed.The sixth part is the suggestion on the application of the content of national unity in the textbook “morality and Rule of Law” compiled by the Ministry.On the basis of the relevant research in the third part,aiming at the problems found in the application of the content of national unity in the textbook,this paper puts forward some referential suggestions for improving the teaching of teachers and strengthening the education of national unity in schools.
