Vietnam and China are dependent on mountains and waters and have maintained close ties since the feudal period.In 1950,Vietnam and China formally established diplomatic relations.After Vietnam's anti-French war and the anti-American war,the relationship between the two sides became increasingly close.In 1975,the development of relations between the two countries stalled.In 1991,the relationship was normalized and continued to develop.As the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the relationship between Vietnam and China showed a new development.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the cooperation between Vietnam and China has focused on the development of socialism and economic development.The relationship between the two parties in Vietnam and China has become increasingly cordial,the exchange of high-level visits has increased significantly,and the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between Vietnam and China has been further developed.At the same time,the cooperation between the two countries in trade,investment and tourism has achieved remarkable results,and cultural exchanges have continued to deepen.China has become one of the countries with the largest number of overseas students in Vietnam.However,since the 18 th CPC National Congress,Vietnam-China relations have also faced new challenges.As the international situation changes,the United States is highly vigilant about the rise of China.Protectionism has become an important diplomatic principle of the United States.The prospects for a Sino-US trade war are unpredictable.The maintenance and development of Vietnam-China friendly relations are facing great challenges.First,the South China Sea dispute has become the most important issue that affects the development of bilateral relations,and is the main factor hindering the development of bilateral relations.Second,the expansion of the Vietnam-China trade deficit has triggered an imbalance in the Vietnamese economy;in addition,nationalism The problem has become a new challenge for the stable development of Vietnam-China relations.Therefore,this article focuses on the status of the development of Vietnam-China relations since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.,With a view to contributing to the formulation and implementation of relevant policies.
