As people's understanding of cultural protection and cultural heritage has gradually increased,and the attention of “intangible heritage” in the past decade has been continuously rising.In recent years,the increase has become larger,resulting in the formation of an “intangible heritage heat" around our country.China has thousands of years of historical civilization and splendid culture.At the same time,it is a multi-ethnic country.The national heritage is undoubtedly very rich and magnificent.In the big family of human sports culture,national traditional sport is a very important and special part.Especially in a multi-ethnic country like China,sports intangible cultural heritage is exceptionally precious.Through various intangible cultural activities over the years,many sports items have been reborn.However,there are still many projects,not to mention protection,even on the brink of extinction or forgotten.as a multi-ethnic country,traditional sports of various ethnic minorities and its splendid cultural treasures are also urgently needed to be re-examined and protected.Based on the intangible heritage theories,this paper expounds the history and development status of the Bai nationality traditional sports in Dali area,discusses its cultural core,and comprehensively analyzes the current development of the Bai nationality sports in terms of the sports events horse racing and “Bawang whip” in the Bai nationality festival.Problems and dilemmas are discussed in order to explore the inheritance and protection strategies of Bai ethnic sports under the Intangible Cultural Heritage.It emphasizes that the paper aims to enrich the viewing angle of Bai nationality sports protection,provide effective theoretical guidance for the inheritance of Bai nationality traditional sports,and promote the development of nationality sports of the Bai ethnic group and more ethnic minorities.This paper consists of a preface,a text,and a conclusion.The opening chapter is a preface,which outlines the background and the significance of the research.The body is divided into two parts:The first part is the theoretical basis of this paper.It introduces the related basic concepts such as intangible cultural heritage,sports intangible cultural heritage,national traditional sports,Bai nationality traditional sports,as well as the current domestic and foreign research on intangible cultural heritage theory.The second part is the main body of the paper,which focuses on the current development and the protection of the Bai nationality traditional sports in Dali.First of all,it briefly describes the history and development of the Bai nationality sports represented by the Bai nationality and the horse racing and “Bawang whip”,and then comprehensively sums up the characteristics of the Bai nationality traditional sports.Based on this,it analyzes the main problems facing the traditional Bai sports development at present;at the end of this part,it explores the protection and inheritance strategies of the Bai nationality traditional sports from the perspective of intangible cultural heritage: strengthening the policies,regulations,and systems of intangible projects;attaching importance to the protection of inheritors and funding;broadening the development of Bai ethnic traditional sports events;developing sports tourism and grafting Bai traditional sports,conforming to the wave of national fitness and expanding the Bai traditional sports influence.The last part of this paper is the conclusion,which is the summary and outlook of the full paper.It not only summarizes the inheritance and protection of Bai traditional sports from an invisible perspective,but also sees more research perspectives and more in-depth possibilities.
