Mathematical problem solving plays an significant position in high school mathematics.However,students always have the inevitable errors of solving problems in the process of mathematics learning.From the perspective of teaching,we hope that students can understand mathematics knowledge thoroughly,carry out mathematical problem solving activities smoothly,and reduce students' mathematical problem solving errors as much as possible.The sequence is one of the important parts of high school mathematics.In the college entrance examination,it is often used to conduct a comprehensive survey of the sequence and function,inequality,equation and so on.The question type is flexible and is closely related to the real life,and has always been the required test point for the mathematics of the national college entrance exam.In terms of high school mathematics,sequence is not the biggest difficulty,but students often exposed a large number of problems in the problem solving.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate both the fault types of problem solving and the causes of the fault types deeply,and then to explore the countermeasures and suggestions to reduce students' errors of solving problem.The introduction of this paper,identified the research basics,research questions,research methods,research meaning and the thesis framework,on the basis of collecting and analyzing related literature of mathematical problem solving errors in home and abroad.The main problem are the fault types of junior high school students' sequence problem solving,the main causes of these errors,and the suggestions to reduce the errors.The literature review mainly present the fault types and attribution around the general level of mathematical problem solving and specific(sequence)problem solving errors,introduced the related research of mathematical problem solving errors,which provides brings about significant implications to this research.Then discuss the three research questions,which are also the main parts of this study.Through the investigation and data analysis on the sequence of special test paper,studies the main fault types of junior high school students' sequence problem solving,as well as the causes of the errors.After in-depth interviews with students and several front-line teachers,discuss countermeasures and suggestions to solve problems to reduce the sequence problem solving errors from two aspects of teachers' teaching and students'learning.Finally,based on the above discussion,summarizes the research conclusions of this paper,and points out the shortcomings of the research and the directions of prospective research.
