In April 7th,2016,the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China firstly announced a report named A Report on the Quality of Higher Education in China.It pointed the training of creative talents in China’s higher education is not enough and emphasized the importance of training creative talents.Postgraduates are one of the main forces to achieve creation,therefore,the quality of postgraduates has aroused much attention.Usually,learning experience is regarded as an important part in the process of higher education evaluation.The academia has achieved numerous results in the research of learning experience.But those researches underlined much on quantitative studies,little on qualitative studies.Moreover,those studies also paid more attention on online learners and the traditional students at the stage of compulsory education and undergraduates,less on postgraduates especially full-time academic postgraduate students in science and engineering.Therefore,this article roots from the perspective of students and qualitative research method to summarize the original learning experience of the postgraduates,which may result in an improvement on their learning quality.This thesis selects 15 This paper selects full-time academic postgraduate students in science and engineering from K university as the research object and uses Knud Illeris’s space theory as a framework to understand students’learning experience from the following five aspects which includes the school learning and education,daily learning,learning in the working life,web-based learning,and leisure interest and grassroots activities.This paper consists of 8 chapters.Chapter one:Introduction.This part mainly introduces the background information,the core concepts,the latest research results,shortcomings and research gaps about learning experience through reviewing literature from home and abroad.Finally,it shows the study design.Chapter two:School learning and education.This chapter mainly analyses students learning experience from three aspects,includes school curriculum,supervisor-postgraduate interaction,and fellow communication.Based on the analysis,it shows some problems in K University and proposes some corresponding solutions and suggestions.Chapter three:Daily learning.This part is only composed of one subspace:learning in dormitory.According to that,the reasons of lack of learning in dormitory can be found out.Finally,it also gives some corresponding suggestions.Chapter four:Learning in the working life.It analyzes students learning process trough social practice and studies its influence on students’ future learning.Chapter five:Web-based learning.This chapter emphasizes on the position,advantages and disadvantages,contents and interactions of web-based learning,and the reasons about why students pay little attention on web-based learning.Chapter six:Leisure interest and grassroots activities.It focuses on postgraduates’after-school harvests.At the same time,it shows the reasons that a part of students do not have after-school activities and proposed some corresponding solutions.Chapter seven:Conclusions and suggestions.According to the analysis from the first six chapters,the conclusions and suggestions are achieved.Finally,it proposes the deficiency of this dissertation.This paper drew the following conclusions:(1)In the school learning and education,laboratory space was made full use of,but the class teaching satisfaction is low.(2)About daily learning,dormitory lacked of learning atmosphere.There is little discussion about learning between roommates.(3)As for learning in the working life,a few students had internship experiences and short internship period.Therefore,learning experience from this space was not enough.(4)In the space of web-based learning,searching for information and entertainment played the main part,but learning played a little proportion.(5)About leisure interest and grassroots activities,it severe lacked of learning and second class.(6)The overall interaction is low.(7)Generally speaking,the availability of five spaces is low.Notably,students made full use of laboratory but other subspaces still needed improved.
