In the course of learning the second language,students always encounter common and regular problems,which are called biased error.There are many reasons for the biased error,and one of the most important reasons is the negative transfer of the mother tongue.Learners often apply the rules of their mother tongue or mastered language to the study of the target language,which results in biased error.From the current research status in China,most of the studies on negative transfer of mother tongue are concentrated in the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language.The study of minority Chinese teaching in this area is still very weak.At the same time,the research objects are basically selected from the universities,lacks the research of students in elementary education stage.Based on previous research findings,this paper takes Uygur as an example to discuss the phenomenon of mother tongue negative transfer in Chinese learning of ethnic minorities in elementary education stage to add some new ideas in theory.Uygur language belongs to the Turkic language subfamily of the Altai languags.Chinese belongs to Sino-Tibetan.Because of the different family of languages,the difference is great.In addition,most Uygur people live in the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.Most Uygur students have relativelly complete knowledge of mother language before entering school,so they are more likely to have negative transfer of mother tongue.This transfer exists in every aspect of pronunciation,vocabulary,grammar and so on,and this article focuses on the negative transfer in the vocabulary level.This is because the vocabulary is the center of the language system,and the improvement of the language level depends largely on the size of the vocabulary.At the same time,the vocabulary is precipitated by a nation's culture for thousands of years.The difficulty in teaching is the complexity in learning.Through this study,we hope to provide some reference for guiding Chinese teaching activities,improving the quality of teaching and helping the Uygur students to master Chinese better.Guided by the theory of error analysis,interlanguage theory and contrastive linguistics,this paper aims to fully understand the negative transfer of mother tongue and its influencing factors through in-depth classroom lectures,and put forward the teaching suggestion by gathering the examination paper,homework and other corpus of students,issuing questionnaires,and conducting interviews.This article is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is the investigation of the negative transfer of mother tongue in the Chinese vocabulary learning of the Uygur students.The author describes the two modules of word category and word meaning,and discusses how the negative transfer of each mother tongue occurs in detail.The article mainly starts from the two modules of part of speech and the meaning of a word.The first section is a survey of negative transfer of mother tongue in different parts of speech which involves nouns,verbs,quantifiers,adverbs,prepositions,auxiliary words.The author does not cover all parts of the word,because the negative transfer of the mother tongue is more concentrated in the above words.Adjectives,pronouns and numerals of the Uygur language have a good correspondence with Chinese.The Chinese language is more concise than the Uygur language,and the students are less difficult to learn.In the analysis of the biased error corpus,the errors of the middle school students are often due to other reasons which does not involve the influence of the mother tongue,such as the lack of understanding of the meaning of words.The second section is a survey of negative transfer in mother tongue with different meanings,mainly from three aspects of polysemy,synonym and cultural word.The second chapter is the analysis of influencing factors of negative transfer of mother tongue of Uygur Students' vocabulary learning,mainly from the three aspects of language distance of Uygur and Chinese,cultural differences and learning strategies.Language distance of Uygur and Chinese includes.the objective language distance and psycholinguistics distance,among them,psycholinguistics distance enlighten the bilingual teachers to establish the relationship between Chinese and mother tongue in the teaching,and focus on the cultivation of cross-cultural awareness;The cultural differences between Uygur and Han nationality also emphasize the importance of culture introduction to Chinese vocabulary.In terms of learning strategy,the author records the differences in the learning strategies between excellent and not excellent Uyghur learner of Chinese language,which enlightens teacher to focus on training the learning strategies of students and cultivating the consciousness of learning strategiesThe third chapter is teaching advice for the reduction of the negative transfer of mother tongue of Uygur Students' Chinese vocabulary learning,teaching suggestions in addition to my observation in the classroom,the questionnaire and interviews are used to ensure that the proposed strategy is more practical and more in line with the actual situation.On the basis of this,three teaching suggestions were put forward and the teaching design was carried out,which are the proper use of mother tongue for comparative teaching,the emphasis on the sense of language training and the emphasis on the the instrumental nature of language.Combining the above teaching suggestions,the author tries to conduct the teaching design,and ponders that how to put the theory into practice.Through this study,the author thinks that there are common and deep-rooted negative transfer of mother tongue during the process of learning Chinese vocabulary of Uighur students,which is one of the main restraining factors that improve their Chinese level and should be paid attention in the teaching and research.Bilingual teachers should also be equipped with the theoretical knowledge of second foreign language and get out of the erroneous zone of "teaching by experience only".
