China is a multi-ethnic country,and the development of ethnic minorities is related to the harmonious development of the whole Chinese society.The miao minority area is one of the areas with a large number of ethnic minorities in China.Since China's reform and opening up and the rapid development of national economy,the miao area under the background of the economic level have further ascension,miao society also started the rapid flow and differentiation,and miao women in the social production process plays a very important role in cultural inheritance.Therefore,the author takes miao women as the research object to understand the changes of the social role of miao women in the rapid development background.The author is a field survey site in shidong town,kaili,guizhou province.The interviewees are mainly miao women of different ages in shidong town and representative miao men.The main method of collecting data is to interview without structure and participate in observation.This paper analyzes the social role changes of miao women in the perspective of empowerment theory and life course theory.Firstly,this paper analyzes the role status of miao women in traditional miao society from three aspects:division of labor,family status and property inheritance.Second,miao women can be divided into young women,older women as well as three kinds of middle-aged women,respectively in this paper,the different age stages of the miao women in modern society in the social role and the influence of life what happened,and compared with traditional miao social formation.Finally,the author analyzes the characteristics of the change of social role of miao women,the reasons for the change of social roles and the thinking of the work of ethnic social work.
