Research On The Enrollment Of Private Colleges And Universities

In our country,private college is a powerful complement to public universities and an indispensable form in the field of education.They can broaden the channels of running schools in our country and provide students with multiple resources for running schools.For private colleges and universities,"student source" is a major issue related to the survival and development of schools.Since 2013,with the continuous decline in the number of college entrance examination candidates,the problem of difficult enrollment has become a hot topic of academic and educational circles.Especially for private higher vocational colleges,there are public colleges eagerly looking forward to solving the current widespread problem of enrollment,which can not only benefit the related theoretical research on gross enrollment rate of higher education,but also provide a reference for the follow-up study on the enrollment of private colleges and universities by combing the related research progress and research fields.This paper mainly explores the difficult problem of enrollment in private vocational colleges.Around this core,it reveals the status of domestic and abroad vocational colleges' teaching management,Using field investigation,literature analysis,comparative research and other research methods,it chooses Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology in Shan dong Province as a typical case for in-depth study.Shan dong Province has always been a populous province.As a big province of college entrance examination,Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology in Shan dong Province is also facing difficulties in enrollment,which reflects the urgency and seriousness of the whole enrollment problem of private colleges and universities.Through the study of the enrollment situation of the school,we try to find a method to solve this problem.First of all,the paper studies the enrollment situation of Shan dong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology,and understands the four aspects of the current enrollment dilemma of the school.According to statistics,the enrollment rate of the school has declined in the past 18 years from 2000 to 2017,which shows that the candidates' willingness to apply for the Shan dong Liming Vocational College of Science and Technology is insufficient;the enrollment rate of the school is declining;the admission score is getting lower and lower;and there is a structural imbalance between different majors.Secondly,it analyses the causes of the enrollment problems of Liming Vocational College in Shan dong Province,including the overall decline of students,the absence of government management,parents' expectations and social stereotypes,the inadequate strength of Vocational colleges,and their lack of competitiveness.Finally,in order to improve teaching management and teaching quality,the paper gives some suggestions to teaching management non-governmental higher vocational colleges for its long run.On the one hand,the enrollment channels should be broadened,the enrollment autonomy of private colleges and universities should be implemented,On the other hand,the government departments should strengthen policy support,break down the local student source protection mechanism and strengthen the regulation of the enrollment market.At the same time,the social atmosphere that everyone can become successful should be fostered.
