| Evidence-based method has been introduced into the field of school education more than 10 years as a new professional education decision-making.It’s important idea is to encourage the participants to collect,analyse and use all kinds of information,facts and data,scientifically,rigorously and detailedly,making the decision-making help enhance the school improvement.School improvement became a relatively clear field or conceptual system in the late 1970s.It refers to a systematic and continuous effort to change learning conditions and other relevant internal conditions in one or more schools,so as to achieve educational goals more effectively.Effective school improvement is not just piecemeal reform,but a comprehensive understanding of school internal improvement,so scientific thinking in the process of school improvement is particularly important.The thesis introduces the theory of evidence-based to analyze the formulation,process and effect of school improvement.Evidence-based education is not only a new type of educational theory,but also a summary of educational practice and experience.To promote school improvement with the idea of evidence-based education can provide scientific basis and approach during the process,and discard or reduce the drawbacks of current policy-making from the perspective of administration for school improvement.The thesis mainly describes the historical context of school improvement at home and abroad,and teases out how the European and American countries carry out evidence-based idea and practice of the reform of school.Then the thesis raises the concepts and framework for action on evidence-based school improvement,and finally based on the case study of Y school.analyzes and expounds evidence-based methods to carry out the teaching reform;evaluates and analyses the effectiveness and gain and loss of the school improvement.The thesis mainly elaborates the following two topics.On one hand,the study puts forward the methods of evidence-based improvement in schools.First,we should grasp the value and elements of evidence,collect and comb valid evidence.Second,form improvement strategies through evidence-based evaluation and analysis.And third,we should scientifically implement,evaluate and feedback school improvement strategies.On the other hand,the concept and action of Y school’s improvement are tracked and studied.The thesis Introduces Y school’s basic situation.and analyzes the reason for promoting school improvement based on evidence.Based on this,this paper expounds the evidence-based improvement of Y school from five fields.First.Y school has established a system based on evidence.The school abolished the original system and reconstructed the new system supported by all the teachers and students with the evidence-based method.Secondly,the teaching system is optimized.In this paper,the evidence-based process of teaching reform is summarized,and the experimental reform of "Chinese subject learning" and the English learning project-the two characteristic teaching reform pilot projects of Y school,are described.Third,the professional development of teachers is promoted.It includes strengthening teachers’ ability of evidence-based theory and practice,implementing young teachers’ guidance:"blue project",and carrying out teachers’ process evaluation,etc.Fourthly,pay attention to the effective play of moral education function,construct the evaluation of teachers’ morality with the participation of multiple subjects,and build a good relationship between teachers and students.Fifth,the construction of campus culture aims at improving happiness,including emotional management and whole-process humanized service.Through the practice of evidence-based improvement in Y schools,this paper argues that:in order to ensure the method of using evidence to reach the expected effect,and the use of evidence in the education ecological system to get the support of all levels,ability of evidence-based research and practice should be improved:school leaders should involve in school improvement process based on evidence,education researchers should strengthen evidence-based research ability,and evidence-based concept should be integrated into the new teacher induction training.In addition,an environment conducive to the evidence-based school improvement should be created:the ability of relevant groups should be brought into play,teachers should play the main role in evidence-based practice,and the government should be encouraged to create a vigorous evidence-based environment. |
