In recent years,with the deepening of basic education reform and educational informatization,the cultivation of computational thinking has gradually become an indispensable part of the development of contemporary students' ability.The international community generally believes that computational thinking is the fourth basic ability after reading,writing and calculating.Computational thinking emphasizes the use of computational science to solve problems,and its educational value has been recognized by the society.Some scholars in China have proposed to integrate the cultivation of computational thinking with the specific subject content,so as to cultivate the consciousness of innovation and the ability of innovation practice.,as an indispensable part of basic education,preschool education widely attention from various circles of society and the cultivation of the computational thinking in China has been into the stage of primary and secondary schools,however,in the development phase prior to the children's computational thinking is still in the initial stage of development in science and technology activities cultivate children's computational thinking has not yet been combined with the related knowledge content.Therefore,how to design teaching activities suitable for promoting the development of children's computational thinking and how to evaluate children's computational thinking ability in practical activities have not been well solved.In order to improve these problems,this study selected between infant children as the research object,guided by the concept of STEM,in children's activities of science and technology as the carrier,based on the design of the study(DBR)method for the design and development to promote the development of children's computational thinking STEM activity plan,implementation scheme and activities,and by adopting the combination of quantitative and qualitative methods including calculation thinking evaluation index and interview with teachers and children and to evaluate students computing thinking ability test,according to the evaluation results to modify iteration scheme,finally calculated the modified scheme for children could obviously promote their thinking skills.This paper carries out research from the following six parts.The first part,introduction.This chapter mainly explains the research background,the reasons for selecting the topic and the research significance and methods.The second part,related theoretical basis and research.This chapter analyzes the influence of Piaget's children's cognitive development theory,constructivism learning theory and multiple intelligences theory on education,and introduces the education status of cultivating children's computational thinking in STEM activities abroad and the development status of computational thinking in China.To find a theoretical basis for the link between STEM education and the development of computational thinking in young children.The third part,based on the concept of STEM children thinking activity of the study design calculation,part of this chapter is the focus of this article research,on the basis of theoretical research,for computational thinking,summarized,the five elements-decomposition algorithm,assessment and abstraction of thinking,from the STEM problem determination,planning,try to communicate,modify,and five steps,the paper describes the research activities of the overall design,detailed discusses the related research methods,research contents,research tools and research process.The fourth part discusses the concrete implementation process of STEM activities of cultivating children's computational thinking,which is the research focus of the practical part of this paper.Based on the above analysis of the current research situation and research design,with the design and development activity case "toy big watch","shopping game" and "river" to implement the activity content,according to the classroom observation,extract the computational thinking action verbs,according to evaluation index were analyzed,and the computational thinking and thinking ability through the calculation of teachers and students interview and test results of the analysis have been amended to point out the defects in STEM activity plan.The fifth part discusses the implementation process of the second round of STEM activities incorporating computational thinking.According to the conclusion of the first round of activities,the three specific steps of "presupposition-verification-trial and error" in the modification of the activity plan were designed and implemented in the second class to verify whether the modified STEM activity plan can promote the development of children's computational thinking.The quantitative and qualitative evaluation methods were used for the analysis,and it was found that the iterative STEM activities incorporating computational thinking could effectively promote the improvement of children's computational thinking ability,so as to provide convenient conditions for the development of children's computational thinking.The sixth part,summary and prospect.Fusion calculation based on the analysis of thinking elements and STEM activity steps,on the basis of the predecessors on the basis of designing evaluation index,through the design,implementation,conform to the STEM of children's cognitive activity,after two rounds of iteration,draw the conclusion: first,based on the concept of STEM to cultivate children's computational thinking activities of science and technology on the content and method of the traditional children's science education has the certain innovation,children generally interested in hands-on learning,willing to experience the STEM activities;Second,through the implementation of STEM activity programs incorporating computational thinking,children will actively participate in STEM learning activities with computational thinking motivation,interact with others in moderately challenging task situations,and have a series of reflective practical experiences,so as to promote the development of computational thinking.
