Nowadays,education has a higher and higher place in the development of the country,and the role of educators are becoming more and more important.Throughout our history,there have been a large number of educators who have transformed their unique educational philosophy into practice and changed the status quo of education in the country;they have influenced generations of educators with their noble charisma.Therefore,a study of educator growth can shed light on the current growth of teachers into educator.At present,China's education reform is constantly advancing,and the Party and the government have elevated educators running schools to the height of national strategy,so society needs a group of educators to lead education reform,and the growth process and growth laws of educators are worth studying and summarizing.This study takes the growth of educator Cai Yuanpei as the starting point and uses the case study method to study the growth of educator Cai Yuanpei from the perspective of sociologist Anthony Giddens' theory of self-identity.The research was carried out using the "data collection,data collation,construction of a framework,theoretical analysis and conclusions" approach.Firstly,collect Cai Yuanpei's related writings and other works compiled by others,including genealogies,autobiographies and other written materials documenting Cai Yuanpei's growth,and use textual analysis to get a preliminary understanding of Cai Yuanpei.Second,through field trips,Cai Yuanpei obtained relevant pictures from the main cities where he lived and worked to enrich research materials.Next,the thesis analysis framework is constructed based on Giddens' s theory of self-identity,and the theoretical analysis is carried out in conjunction with Cai Yuanpei's educational life.Finally,an analysis of the process of growing up as an educator by Cai Yuanpei and a summary of the universal laws of educator growth.Through research,it was found that from a sociological point of view,individual growth into an educator is a dynamic,continuous process that is influenced by the interaction of internal and external factors.First,educators grow up with an adaptive nature.Social needs directly affect the direction of an individual's growth,and the environment in which an individual grows affects the pattern of development.Second,educators grow up with self-plasticity.To become an educator,one needs to translate educational philosophy into educational practice,reflect on the basis of one's own experience and then adjust the course of development,and continuously improve oneself in the process of continuous learning.Finally,the educator's upbringing has a self-morphing nature.The growth of a teacher into an educator includes the fact that society basically accumulates in a process of constant exchange,and opportunities for self-realization increase,culminating in the formation of one's own style of education that broadly influences others and society.
