Information hiding is a process of embedding the hidden information into various carriers through some algorithm so as not to attract attention.Carrier types are rich and varied,usually including text,image,video and so on.Compared with text and audio,digital video has more redundancy in space and time domain,which can provide more space for embedding.Therefore,the research of video-based information hiding technology has greater theoretical value and practical application value.In recent years,H.264 standard has been widely used in video coding and decoding due to its high compression rate,strong fault tolerance rate and network independence.Based on the research of H.264 standard and the balance of hiding capacity,imperceptibility and robustness,this paper proposes two kinds of information hiding algorithms based on intra prediction mode by using 4×4 prediction mode and 16×16 prediction mode of intra brightness block.The main contents are as follows:(1)In the intra 4×4 prediction stage,by adjusting the direction between nine adjacent prediction modes and based on the mapping rules between secret information and optimal mode,1 bit secret information is embedded into the prediction mode.This algorithm has small computation and large embedding capacity.(2)In the intra 16×16 prediction stage,in order to enhance the robustness of the algorithm,the quadratic residuosity is introduced.The embedding position of secret information is determined by judging the quadratic residue property of the last non-0DCT coefficient of the intra 16×16 prediction sequence,and the embedding of 1 bit secret information is realized by the corresponding rules of secret information and coefficients.This algorithm enhances the ability to resist attacks and improves the robustness of the algorithm.The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can preserve the subjective and objective quality of the original video better and has less visual impact on the original video on the premise of embedding secret information.
