Since the long-term unsustainable pattern of China's urbanization seriously restricted the further development of urbanization, the Central Committee put forward the notion of New-type urbanization characterized by more "people-oriented",in order to solve unbalanced development and environment problem caused by extensive development pattern.Urbanization is essentially the agglomeration of human, capital and other elements in space, whose development needs the guidance and support of economic industries. Thus,it really matters how to undertake industrial transfer and guide the transfer of rural population to the nearest town relying on the industrial agglomeration area when accounting for the advance of New-type urbanization. The current industrial structure transformation requires a transition from labor-intensive and capital-intensive industry to technology-intensive and knowledge-intensive industry, which needs great efforts to develop producer service especially in science and technology, modern logistics and finance industry. Therefore, the study of producer service agglomeration's effect on urbanization has far-reaching significance.Based on the analysis of the fundamental mechanism and use of quantitative analysis, this paper studies the influence of producer service agglomeration on urbanization from angles of normative and positive analysis.By using the location quotient method to measure the agglomeration of producer service of China's 35 large and medium-sized city, results show that producer services in large and medium-sized city have a high degree of concentration, especially in the first tier city, such as Beijing,Shanghai and so on,and the overall degree of agglomeration have some regional difference.Based on the analysis of producer service industry agglomeration effect on and diffusion effect on urbanization, corresponding theoretical assumptions are put forward: producer service agglomeration has positive effect on urbanization, but is not conducive to the further development of urbanization when high degree of agglomeration is reached. Then panel data of China's 35 large and medium-sized city from 2003 to 2013 are used to make empirical research grouped by different city characteristic, industry agglomeration and industry segments, conclusions are brought forth as follows: firstly, effect of producer services in different degree of agglomeration on urbanization is positive. The regression coefficient of core explanatory variable is negative but doesn't pass the significant test when the agglomeration reaches a high level, which shows that the agglomeration of producer services has no significant effect on urbanization, and so it can't confirm the existence of diffusion effect;secondly, regression analysis of different industry segments show that, the industry agglomeration have obviously promoting effect on urbanization except for the financial sector;thirdly, the level of industrialization, the level of per capita income and education level have positive effect on urbanization. Finally, some countermeasures and suggestions are proposed to promote the healthy development of urbanization, when combining the conclusions of the study with the current development of urbanization in China.
