Research On The Impact Of Internet Insurance On China's Property Insurance Companies' Operating Efficiency

With the gradual development and deepening of Internet economy,the Internet is changing the traditional financial industry profoundly,and the insurance industry as a pillar industry in the financial industry is also actively developing the Internet Insurance bussiess.Therefore,it is necessary to discuss the operating efficiency of China's financial insurance companies from the perspective of the development of Internet insurance business.First of all,from the theoretical point of view,combined with the connotation of enterprise operation efficiency and the advantages of Internet insurance,this paper analyzes the effect of Internet insurance on the business efficiency of China's property insurance companies.Secondly,the paper selected the insurance company sample data from premium income ranked top 20 of China's market on the Internet in 2016,by using data envelopment analysis(DEA method)to estimate the technical efficiency,pure technical efficiency and scale efficiency values.The calculation results show that the efficiency of China's property insurance industry is higher than expected,but there is still a certain degree of resource waste,so it is necessary to further seek more efficient operation methods.Thirdly,this paper uses Tobit regression model to analyze the influencing factors of the operation efficiency of China's property insurance industry.The regression results show that the proportion of Internet insurance premium income,the number of cooperative Internet companies and the length of Internet insurance business are significantly positively related to the operation efficiency of property insurance companies.Finally,according to the empirical results,a summary of the full text,this paper puts forward four policy suggestions.
