RMB Internationalization In The Context Of "One Belt One Road"

Chinese economy is rising rapidly,after entering the21 st century,domestic and foreign scholars have launched a heated discussion on whether RMB should be internationalized or not.With the succession of a series of symbolic events,including the introduction of "The Belt and Road",the establishment of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank,and Chinese renminbi has been incorporated into SDR,the internationalization of RMB has become a hot spot again.Both as a hot issue and important historical events of China's rejuvenation,the internationalization of the RMB and "The Belt and Road" are closely related and complementary to each other.It's necessary to study them and the relationship between them.This paper intends to take RMB internationalization as the research object,discuss the problems faced by RMB internationalization in the region according to the overall situation of the countries along the routes.Make a brief introduction of the origin and development of "The Belt and Road" and the internationalization of RMB,using the SLEPT framework analyse the overall environment's risk of "The Belt and Road".Besides,on the basis of extensive reference to relevant literature,combined with my own viewpoint,using the SWOT framework analyse the opportunities and risks of promoting internationalization of the RMB in "The Belt and Road" background,compare the advantages and disadvantages,get a first glance of overall situation of RMB internationalization in "The Belt and Road" background.At last,by reviewing the history of internationalization of some currencies,looking for the law of world currency development from the international road of US dollar,Deutschmark and Japanese Yen,expecting to get beneficial enlightenment to the internationalization of the RMB.According to the research,as for promoting internationalization of the RMB in "The Belt and Road" background,the advantages outweigh the disadvantages on the whole.China should hold the opportunities firmly,take the domestic economy,especially the real economy as the backing,strengthen economic association between China and countries along "The Belt and Road",increase the use of RMB worldwide.In this procedure,it is not only to be enterprising,but to prevent it from being too urgent.In a word,on the premise of keeping the bottom line of the systemic risk,as far as possible to expand the influence of the RMB,let China become a real economy "pole" of the world.
