Research On The Poverty Reduction Effect Of Inclusive Finance In Gansu Provinc

By 2020,China will achieve the goal of building a moderately prosperous society and lifting all poor groups out of poverty.For this aim,the government has adopted a large number of measures,which have greatly reduced the number of poor people,significantly increased the income level of low-income groups,and made great achievements in poverty reduction.However,there are still quite a few poverty-stricken counties and poverty-stricken people,which are accompanied by deepening poverty,increasing difficulty in poverty alleviation,and other new problems such as returning to poverty in some poverty-stricken areas from time to time.The poor natural conditions,weak agricultural production foundation,underdeveloped industry,backward economy and low income of residents in gansu province are the main battlefields against poverty.Under the new situation,financial poverty alleviation,a new poverty reduction method,shows great potential.Targeted at low-income groups,Inclusive Finance covers a wide range of areas,can promote healthy economic development,improve the income level of low-income people,and promote social equity.It has become an important means of financial poverty alleviation,and its development has been highly valued by the government.Therefore,the research of the poverty reduction effect of inclusive finance in GanSu province can help promote the poverty alleviation in this province and provide some experience for other regions to get rid of poverty.Firstly,this paper reviews relevant literature and theories at home and abroad to lay a theoretical foundation for future research.Secondly,it describes the development status of Inclusive Finance in GanSu province from the perspectives of the penetration of financial services in GanSu province,the use of financial services in GanSu province,and the availability of financial services in GanSu province.This paper describes the poverty situation of GanSu province from two perspectives of urban and rural disposable income and engel's coefficient change,introduces the present situation of reducing poverty by inclusive finance in Gansu Province.Thirdly,it analyzes four ways of poverty alleviation through inclusive finance,namely,poverty can be alleviated by providing savings and credit services,providing insurance services,reducing income distribution and promoting economic growth.On the basis of theoretical analysis,relevant data of 14 cities(states)in GanSu province from 2006 to 2016 were selected to establish Inclusive Finance index to measure the development level of Inclusive Finance in GanGu.It is found that the development level of Inclusive Finance in all cities(prefectures)of GanSu province presents an overall rising trend,but there are also problems of unbalanced development and big regional differences.The panel data model is used to study the poverty reduction effect of inclusive finance in GanSu province.It is concluded that the poverty in GanSu province has the characteristics of sustainability,that Inclusive Finance has an inverted u-shaped relationship with poverty alleviation,and that Inclusive Finance can alleviate poverty by improving the level of economic development and narrowing the urban-rural income gap.Finally,the paper puts forward some suggestions on further developing Inclusive Finance and alleviating poverty in GanSu province.
