Analysis Of East Asian Production Networks And The International Competitiveness Of China's Manufacturing

Under the background of economic globalization,the mode of international trade has undergone tremendous changes.Intra-product trade has replaced intra-industry trade as the dominant one.The form of international division of labor has been further deepened.Under the international vertical division system,the mode of division of labor has risen from the simple product level to the level of different production links of products,and the economic relations of various countries have become increasingly close to form a complex production network.With the further development of international division of labor,the manufacturing process has become particularly complex.The production process of products has been divided into several production links,the comparative advantages of countries have been expanded,more and more countries have been incorporated into the production network,and the value chain of products has been greatly extended.East Asia is one of the fastest growing regions in the world.With the uneven level of economic development in various economies,it provides good external conditions for vertical specialization.With the industrial transfer,the regional production network in East Asia emerges as the times require.Experience shows that the higher the degree of participation in production networks,the greater the impact on a country's economic development.As a big manufacturing country,China is aware of the importance of production network platform for economic development,especially for the development of manufacturing industry.China has been actively participating in the process of production network,constantly improving its participation status,and improving its participation level after years of development,China has become the center of production network in East Asia.But so far,China's manufacturing industry has not formed a core competitive advantage,occupying a unique position.Building a manufacturing industry with core competitive advantages is of great significance to the promotion of China's overall economic strength.Therefore,China should focus on the production network of East Asia,rely on the production network,exert its influence on China's economy,especially the manufacturing industry,and enhance the competitiveness of China's manufacturingindustry.Firstly,on the basis of understanding the current situation of the production network in East Asia,this paper analyses the basic conditions and accumulated advantages of China's participation in the production network in East Asia,and measures the international competitiveness of China's industry from NTR index and RCA index.The index of China's manufacturing industry shows an upward trend,which indicates that the competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry in the global layout of the industrial chain is increasing.Secondly,it compares and analyzes the current situation of Chinese manufacturing industry participating in east Asian production network from the perspectives of manufacturing added value,competitiveness level,commodity structure and market distribution.the data calculation shows that the vertical specialization index of China's manufacturing industry is on the rise as a whole,and the degree of vertical specialization is deepening.Thirdly,on the basis of the impact mechanism,the econometric model is used to validate the conclusion that participation in the regional production network in East Asia is indeed conducive to enhancing the competitiveness of China's manufacturing industry.
