From the perspective of two-stage,a data envelopment analysis model based on relaxation variables is used to quantify the dynamic trends and provincial differences of R&D performance and achievement transformation performance of 29 provinces in China from 2005 to 2016.And using the global spatial autocorrelation analysis,spatial autocorrelation scatter plot analysis,Clustering and outliers analysis in the geostatistics exploratory spatial data analysis directly to show the temporal and spatial evolution pattern of two-stage innovation performance.Finally,a censored panel model is constructed to test the influencing factors of two-stage innovation performance.The research on R&D performance and achievement transformation performance finds that the innovation performance of high-tech industry is on the low side,and there is a lot of room for improvement and promotion because the innovation performance of most provinces is in the low range.The average value of R&D performance is significantly higher than that of achievement transformation performance,and the imbalance of two-stage efficiency is very obvious.The average level of R&D performance and achievement transformation performance of high-tech industries in central and western regions are lower than those in eastern regions,but in recent years,the difference between R&D performance and achievement transformation performance of high-tech industries in eastern,central and western regions has gradually narrowed.Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA)results show that the regional characteristics of innovation performance in China's high-tech industry in two stages are significant,which are characterized by local clustering in high or low areas and abnormally prominent gap in innovation performance level between individual regions,and the regional innovation performance in the two stages presents four patterns.In the R&D stage,innovation performance shows that H-H cluster gradually diffuses from individual eastern coastal areas to form H-H cluster in eastern coastal areas and H-H cluster in southwestern inland areas,while L-L cluster gradually shifts from western areas to form L-L cluster in northeastern China and L-L cluster in Northwest China.At the same time,the high-low(H-L)cluster and the low-high(L-H)cluster mainly distribute in the central region and adjacent areas of the eastern,central and western,and the spatial transition characteristics of innovation performance differences are obvious.High-high(H-H)clusters of the achievement transformation performance are mainly concentrated in the eastern coastal areas and gradually spread to the central areas.The low-low(L-L)cluster areas are located in the central and Western regions.With the passage of time,the low-value areas of achievement transformation performance in the central region gradually decrease.The analysis of the influencing factors of the two-stage innovation performance of China's high-tech industry shows that the technological development stage:In the stage of technology R&D,the scale and openness of enterprises in high-tech industries have a significant positive impact on R&D innovation performance,while the market structure and the proportion of foreign direct investment have a significant negative impact on R&D innovation performance.In the stage of achievement transformation,the scale and openness of enterprises in high-tech industries have a significant positive impact on the innovation performance of achievement transformation,while the market structure has a significant negative impact on the innovation performance of achievement transformation;the proportion of foreign direct investment has no significant impact on the innovation performance of achievement transformation.Finally,this paper proposes to strengthen the in-depth integration of industry,university and research,intensify market-oriented reform and accelerate the establishment of regional synergistic innovation mechanism,which is conducive to the scientific allocation of innovative elements of high-tech industries,improve innovation performance,narrow the regional development gap,and achieve high-quality coordinated development.
