The electronic information industry is an emerging and fast-growing industry in China. Its rapid development and various supporting policies are inseparable. From the central government to local governments, the electronic information industry is regarded as an important driver to promote economic development in the region.Force, grant tax incentives, set up special funds, and establish centralized industrial parks and other related subsidy policies. In technological innovation-intensive industries, innovation and technology are the decisive input factors and the endogenous determinants of industrial economic growth and development. Therefore,it is particularly important to study the impact of government subsidies on the technological innovation capability of China's electronic information industry.Based on the theme of the impact of government subsidies on the technological innovation capability of the electronic information industry, this paper firstly builds a model based on the financial statements of 109 listed companies in the electronic and communication equipment manufacturing sector of Shanghai and Shenzhen in 2011-2016.Estimate the total factor productivity of the industry and empirically analyze the impact of government subsidies on total factor productivity in the industry. Then, from the resource acquisition and use of the enterprise, the paper analyzes the role of government subsidies in the innovation performance of the electronic information industry, and further empirically analyzes the differences between different ownership enterprises using government subsidies for innovation based on the nature of the enterprise.Considering that government subsidies have a linear impact on the innovation performance of enterprises in the current and lag periods, there may be nonlinear effects. To this end,the model is constructed according to the mathematical principle of the quadratic function, the threshold effect between the innovation performance of the enterprise and the govermment subsidy intensity is explored, and the optimal range of the government subsidy intensity is estimated,in order to provide ideas for the government to provide accurate subsidies. The empirical results show that government subsidies have not promoted the total factor productivity of listed companies in the electronic infonnation industry in the same year.It has only been promoted for three years;government subsidies have contributed to the innovation performance of the electronic information industry:compared with state-owned enterprises, the government subsidy plays a more effective role in promoting the innovation performance of private enterprises. It has a promotion effect in the current and lag periods of subsidies;the optimal range of government subsidy intensity for private enterprises is(0,1.66%),in which government subsidies are effect of innovation performance of private enterprises is increasing, and there is no threshold effect between the innovation performance of state-owned enterprises and the intensity of government subsidies.Compared with previous studies,it focuses on analyzing the impact of govenment subsidies on the technological innovation capability of the electronic information industry from a macro perspective. This paper takes more factors that have an impact on technological innovation capabilities from a micro perspective into account, and comprehensively examines the impact of government subsidies on technological innovation capabilities. The mechanism of action provides an empirical basis for the lag of government subsidies, and expands the research on the impact of government subsidies on the innovation performance of different ownership enterprises.Through the research of this paper,it is beneficial to grasp the impact of government subsidies on the technological innovation capability of the electronic information industry as a whole,in order to provide new ideas for the Chinese government to provide precise subsidies.
