| Russia and China,as two developing countries,have always maintained good economic and trade cooperation.Over the years,bilateral trade between China and Russia has a tendency of fluctuating growth.In 2011,bilateral trade between Russia and China was US$ 72.33 billion.In 2015,declined to US$ 63.55 billion,and in 2018 increased to US$ 107.05 billion,reached the highest level.China has been Russia’s biggest trading partner for eight years.On May 2014,Russia,Belarus and Kazakhstan formally signed the "Eurasian Economic Union Treaty" The treaty came into force on I January,2015.The Eurasian Economic Union led by Russia and "the Belt and Road Initiative" led by China have a significant impact on bilateral trade between Russia and China.The impact of Eurasian Economic Union includes positive effects(for example,wider market demand,more diversified choices for consumers,lower trade costs)and negative effects(trade shift and countervailing measures that prevent Chinese goods from exporting to the Union countries).Therefore,being a student from Russia,from Russia’s perspective considering the problems of Russian-Chinese bilateral trade in the frame of Eurasian Economic Union,to give the targeted countermeasures,to reveal the potential of bilateral trade between Russia and China,to expand bilateral trade scale,to increase the level of bilateral trade have a high theoretical and practical research value.The thesis consists of seven parts:introduction,five chapters and conclusion.The first part is the preface.It explains the background and meaning of the selected theme,combs the relevant research documents,and points out the main contents and research methods of this thesis.The second part is the theoretical basis of the thesis,which covers the regional economic cooperation theory and transaction cost theory.The third part analyzes the current situation of bilateral trade between Russia and China,including the development of bilateral trade between Russia and China,the scale of bilateral trade,and the structure and mode of bilateral trade.The fourth part analyzes the main problems existing in bilateral trade between Russia and China.The fifth part analyzes the impact of Eurasian Economic Union on the bilateral trade between Russia and China.This is the key part of this thesis,which carries out analysis on two layers:positive and negative effects.The sixth part gives the countermeasures to expand bilateral trade between Russia and China in the frame of Eurasian Economic Union,including such suggestions as:the Union countries should take the initiative of connecting with the Silk Road Economic Belt,strengthen institutional arrangements,promote practical cooperation and implement the "five-way" policy to create an environment for the cross-border flow of essential factors.Part seven is the conclusion of this thesis. |
