As the innovation has become the core driving force of China’s economic development,the party’s 19 th CPC National Congress has proposed to construct a technological innovation system with enterprises as the main body,which is market-oriented and combined with production,study and research.National Innovation Driven Development Strategy Program proposes to build a number of powerful and dynamic innovative cities to support the construction of an innovative country.Under the call of the construction of national innovation system and the deployment of innovation-driven development strategy,the construction of innovative cities has become a goal of many cities,and the creation of urban innovation space is an important part of the construction of innovative cities.Understanding innovation space as a new spatial form is of great significance to the innovation development of cities.In terms of innovation space,the question of how is based on that of what.Therefore,it is necessary to further explore the urban innovation space.The research on innovation space in this paper starts from theory and method.On the one hand,based on a review of the existent research on space concept and innovation space at home and abroad,this paper introduces the following core view,i.e.,the conception of space is no longer a regional one,but an interactive form of social-spatial relationship.Then,it is clarified that innovation space is a complex network space formed by the cooperation of innovation elements.This paper further illustrates the structure and features of innovation space.On the other hand,on the basis of theoretical research,the paper focuses on the construction method of innovation space.The technology of web crawler and geocoding is applied to collect and encode innovation elements.The core density analysis resultsof innovation elements are used to indicate the innovation base.The network model of Pajek software and ArcGIS software are combined to construct the innovation network.Through the comprehensive superposition and extraction of the above results,innovation space is constructed.Through the research,the following findings are obtained:(1)At the theoretical level,the key question of “what is innovation space” is answered.Innovation space is a relatively stable complex network space formed by innovation elements on the basis of continuous interaction and long-term cooperation and exchange in society.Innovation space has a spatial structure of “point-line-surface”.The point is the abstract expression of innovation elements,the line is the abstract expression of cooperation relations among innovation elements,and the surface is the abstract expression of spatial distribution of innovation elements.(2)At the methodological level,a feasible technological route for innovative space research has been established.Based on the connotation and spatial structure of innovation space,this paper constructs the research route of Chengdu innovation space from three aspects: innovation elements,innovation network and innovation base,and combines data acquisition technology,network construction technology and spatial analysis technology to construct the realization method,which provides a scientific and feasible method to understand the essence of innovation space.(3)At the empirical level,the research and analysis of Chengdu’s innovation space have been completed.The empirical results show that there are obvious differences in innovation space in Chengdu,and the development status of innovation space in central urban areas is obviously better than that in suburban new cities.The empirical results provide a reference for the future development planning of innovation space in Chengdu with practical significance.
