With the implementation of Chinese major economic restructuring strategy,investment-led growth has become a thing of the past. The economic globalization of the United States has also constrained the development of chinese foreign trade to a certain extent. How chinese economy maintains sustained, rapid and steady growth is facing unprecedented pressure and challenges.Judging from the "troika" that drives economic growth, boosting domestic demand has become the only choice to resolve pressure and face challenges.China has more than 900 million rural populations, but only consumes about 1/3 of chinese consumer goods. This shows that the rural consumer goods market has great potential.Effectively increasing the consumption level of rural residents and opening up the market for rural consumer goods is an inevitable requirement for expanding domestic demand and promoting sustainable and healthy economic development. The structure of rural consumer demand in china and its changing trend are determined by the order of household consumption choices. Therefore, the study of consumers order selection of rural residents in china has become the basis for solving the current difficulties in economic development.Based on a systematic review of relevant research and the Marxist consumer demand theory, divide the level of consumer demand into survival, development, and enjoyment demand levels, and take the order of rural residents' consumption choice in our country as the research object.the current domestic consumer expenditure will be the caliber has been categorized and summarized to explore the relationship between rural residents' consumption demand levels and consumer choice order. In conjunction with the level of economic development, the relationship between household consumption order and residents' consumption structure and the trend of change is discussed.Taking the actual data of chinese rural residents' consumer expenditure from 2000 to 2016 as a sample, the ELES and AIDS methods are used to consume rural residents in China. The empirical analysis was conducted on the order of selection, consumption structure, and related influencing factors;based on this, the trend of changes in the structure of chinese rural consumer goods market was further predicted. Finally,in response to the unreasonable market structure of rural consumer goods, relevant policy recommendations are proposed. The research results show that:1.The consumption situation of rural residents in China has changed dramatically, and the order of consumption has been continuously extended to higher levels;2.The selection of rural residents' consumption order in China basically follows food, residence, transportation and communications, culture, education, entertainment and medical insurance;3.Although the proportion of consumption of rural residents in necessities of life is relatively high, the declining trend is obvious, indicating that rural residents' consumption is undergoing a structural transformation to the level of development needs. It is noteworthy that the decline in the share of cultural and educational expenditures among rural residents during the transition must be taken seriously.
